After seeing the positive reviews, we booked a week away. Hotel: Was clean, staff were very pleasent and nice. Rooms either smelt of sewer or had ants all over. We had changed two rooms and then settled for the third room on day 2. Air condition inside rooms was more like air coolers, didnt help when the temp outside was in its mid 40s but managed. Cracked floor tiles and dated furntitures throughout rooms. But made use of it. No safe inside rooms so do make sure to hide anything important as we had items missing after room cleaning service. Shared and pay on entrance Aqua park right outside hotel and a nightclub inside the car park of the hotel so can be very busy at night with clubbers and the traffic, constant boy racers, police and road rage. AIR CONDITION: Non existant throughout hotel. Non in dining areas or lobby. Wifi: only available in lobby, probs get a signal after being cremated by the heat. Pool: Outdoor swimming pool and slides was very good and well maintained. Life gaurds at the swimming pool can tend to take a nap near the pool so hope you dont drown. Indoor pool was under maintenance so had no use of it. Entertainment: Kids entertainment was very good, followed by adult entertainment was nothing but BS. Snack bars/bars: Snack bar near the pool, inc soft/alch drinks until 6pm. Lobby bar opens from 6pm till late. 2 drinks per person (dont matter if your all inclusive) Resturant near pool, you have to pay for food again do not apply if your all inclusive. Games room, very very dated and was not in use. Food: Food was nice, but was the same food everyday. Highly catered for algerian people. Desserts was ok, sometimes we missed it due to variety. To get a glass of water or soft drinks during meals was a struggle. People: Staff were very nice, from room cleaners, reception, entertainment and canteen staff. Mixed european tourist but high population of the algerian tourist. Beach: travel to the beach on a horse and carraige from hotel, about 10min away. Will be lucky to get a beach bench or brollies. Again private resturant on site but will need to pay for food, does not cover if your all inclusive. Soft drink bar beside the bins on the entrance to beach, drinks are served from a cool box into plastic cups. Marina: 10/15min walk,Resturants bars entertainment shops and boats. Very very nice place to attend, do go after 8pm when its full of life. On the way you will pass other street food areas and a massive funfair. Full of life and joy. You wont get hasselled by anyone unless theyre cab drivers. Please be very carefull when crossing roads, no one will stop to give you way. Overall the holiday was a break, we enjoyed it, been to Tunisia few times now and we have decided we wont be going back anymore and will be exploring other countries. Fyi.. There are police all around the areas, tourist are not bothered but very well looked after. Please do respect their people and traders as the way you would like to be respected...

I stayed at The Golf Residence 3rd to 10th July! It was horrendous, firstly on arrival you are given a room key and sent on your way. No advice on where anything is, what times the meals are, where you can get a bottle of water (as there is none in your room). When I entered my room, the back door did not lock, when I raised this I was told it was ok because I was on the 1st floor, no one could get in 🤦♀️ I went for lunch and the food is bad! Most of it inedible.. and before you say ‘oh she is one of the fussy ones’ I travel all over the world and I always eat the cuisine and enjoy it. Not here at The Golf Residence! No variety, food is cold, undercooked or overcooked! Anyway I decided to get a cocktail, try to chill out and turn it around. To be pointed in the direction of the pool bar. To which there was one bottle of vodka, one bottle of gin and a bottle of whisky. A bucket of warm non branded coke, orangeade and lemonade! I was told cocktails were only available from the other bar. I was misinformed on whether this was free with the all inclusive, charged extra, available only at night, then during the day 😰 I gave up and booked in for a massage! I can only describe it as a torture chamber! The room was filthy, the bed was torn, the lady had no idea what she was doing. She spoke to me the whole way through, tickling my feet and armpits, finding it funny! No candles, no music, no tranquility whatsoever! To make matters worse I was prodded and poked and pulled about so hard that I had a scratch on my leg, my arm and my face when I finally escaped! It took me nearly the whole trip to be refunded! The guy selling the trips (Mario) harassed me the whole time, deeming it acceptable to touch my legs and play with my hair and sit by my sunbed at any opportunity. Asked me every evening what time I would be down so he could meet me there! The entertainment was non existent, however the one positive I have is Koukou (the entertainment staff member) is amazing and does everything she can to make you smile and try to make your holiday better.
This hotel is not as advertised, me and all the others I met whilst there practically starved or resulted to eating dry bread rolls for the entire trip. If you are expecting a relaxing, all inclusive and fun trip. You need to change...
Read moreThis was the most horrific hotel I’ve ever stayed in, from the moment we walked in staff were not welcoming at all, they gave us keys and sent us on our way as if we knew where everything was. Not to mention the food, half the time the food tasted so mouldy, it was inedible, we paid for an all inclusive stay but had to go out to buy food as it was that bad. Our room had wires poking out in the wardrobe, mould on the ceilings, the curtains were filthy and broken, the wardrobe was dirty, we had to beg for towels everyday, the cleaning staff were so extremely rude and to add this this they stole money from our room, and when this was bought up to them they swore on god they never took it, so the money just walked out the room on its own. The cloths used to clean floors would make the room smell like a damp cloth. The bathroom was filthy. We were certainly catfished into believing this was a nice hotel. It does not even meet 4* expectations. It’s that bad it doesn’t even deserve any stars. The wifi doesn’t even work at all, it is that bad. We spent so much money on this place just to be disappointed. This place seriously needs to be closed down. The noise at night makes it so difficult to fall asleep. The receptionist is so beyond rude, the cleaning staff are even worse, one started screaming cuz my mum asked for a towel that we paid for btw, 4 of us stayed in a room together and they were aware yet they would only give 2-3 towels and we had to beg for the other. Sheets were never changed. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL IT IS FILTHY. You deserve to spend your money on something worth your time and money but this place is certainly not the place. The lights in the hotel don’t even work, the bathrooms have grime and mould in them. We were beyond disappointed, ruined the...
