Bar Golf Bräu — Restaurant in Maghreb

This place hates tourists. Came here with my Tunisian husband off great recommendations from other Tunisians. Were told we needed to make a reservation so we did and arrived at 10pm like told to do. Upon arrival the main security guy told us our names were not on the list without even looking at the list. We tried to ask to look ourselves as we suspected he was treating us unfairly and he said, ‘Do you think I can’t read?’ We decided to wait and see what would happen and noticed a group of 8 Tunisians that they let in without a reservation, while a group of 2 Algerians had the same experience we had…made a reservation and barely acknowledged before being told to leave. Absolutely terrible and disrespectful. So sad this wasn’t as great as our friends said and what a rude and stinky...

One star is too much for this place. The staff is trained to fool people. Upon entering we were told that we are paying for all inclusive drinks and food which is an understandable concept. We got this information confirmed from the waiter. We asked if this is all inclusive why are there prices on the menu and the answer was it is a new concept that is why menu is not adjusted. We were with a local so language barrier was not an issue. The third time we confirmed the "all you can...." option we were told we are already above "limit" and we have to pay for the alcohol free drinks same prices that one would normally pay for the normal alcoholic cocktails. Do what you want but do not try to fool people. Have some self respect...

Good and chill place to spend nice time at night solo or with friends.

The food was so nice and not expensive comparing to lounges and night clubs prices within the touristic areas. We order the mix mezza which was for 55dt (~18$) and it was amazing for sharing 2ppl .

The music choice and instruments need to be improved as the sound quality was bad and the band didn’t even perform at that night because of technical issues in the speakers.

It’s better to make reservation in advance to avoid any rejection by security at the entrance.

Overall recommended more the week days than the weekends as it’s very crowded and the seatings are so close to each other and not comfortable especially in summer...
