A relaxing week, and a think a week is enough.|We could easily make this an annual June holiday destination. ||Overall it's a lovely hotel, and yes it needs a bit of upkeep, but they seem to be doing what they can. It certainly needs to stay an adults only. Even at capacity there is plenty of space for everyone. | |A few mentions before I proceed...|Ali pub/cafe, always attentive, nothing an issue. Perfect service on our Hookah night. |Koukie restaurant, rushed off his feet, but kept up with the service.|Kamel/Jamel pool bar, as quick as they could. |Pool staff for keeping the area clean and on hand to help.|A restaurant supervisor, forgive us forgetting his name, gave us top notch service the last half of our holiday, can't fault his service at all. Brought us the occasional recommendation from the buffet. |Our maid service, always clean and tidied each day. |All staff, overall, we're friendly, attentive, and remembered us thoughout our stay.||Tunisian resorts are in real danger of becoming the new Benidorm, or Tenerife due to the goings on in European resorts and the backlash towards tourism, but is still a few years behind.||Remember, 1d is 25p. Roughly. ||Aircon was working due to the time of year. ||Nice little upgrade to a sea/pool view room on arrival, and not overlooking the terrace.||The spa is an experience, and worth the money. Guys, watch your meat and veg on the initial scrub down/sauna, the lady was a little rough doing my thighs lol. All the staff are friendly, and the salt airjet bath was new to us. | |Pool bar could do with an extra person, to keep up with demand, especially if someone orders a few 'cocktails'.||Beach bar was never open, so can't comment on it.||Beach itself could do with a clean from the seaweed, but it would be futile as there is so much of it. Beware of the beach sellers, a stern no thank you will have them moving on. The elder towel guy will rip you off without hesitation.||Never had an issue finding a sunbed, no matter what time of day, either by the pool or on the beach.||There was an issue one night in the restaurant, an argument between waiting staff that seemed to get resolved at the time, but we could feel the tensions between a few of the waiting staff the nights after. |Another argument between the porter and the reception staff broke out on our departure day. Didn't understand much, but got the jist of both arguments.||Do not rate 'le barbeque', although the buffet grill was tasty, it's the same as the main restaurant in reality, and it's chargeable.|Don't get caught out going in earlier than the all inclusive menu, as it cost us 80d pp.||Do not rate the lobby bar, nor the staff. Poor service and demeanor in my opinion. Pub (although can be a sauna if the air con isn't in) is a lot better, although a little lively in the evenings.||Cafe/hooka experience is great, and we were well looked after by Ali.||Buffet breakfast/lunch/dinner faire is not for the picky eater. If your looking for a 'full english' each day, your not going to get it. Can recommend the omlettes however. ||The International is worth the booking for dinner, and there is plenty of courses to fill you up. Staff friendly and professional, although did feel a little rushed.||We had an issue with our flush in the room toilet, had an engineer come and have a look and try to rectify, but the repair on the repair that was already repaired had gone past being repaired, and needed a new flush button. It was repaired to a working point before he left. |We had a knock on the door at about 9am a few days later, even though our do not disturb sign was on, asking to repair. We were still asleep. This was both a repair tech, and a floor/cleaning/accommodation supervisor who didn't take notice of the sign.||The little shop is OK for a quick room bag of crisps, or an ice cream, but there is a couple of shops up the road. Turn right out of the main entrance, walk 1/2 mile and on the bend there is a couple of souvenir/snack shops. Well worth a visit. ||There is a lot more to go through, but see for yourself, you won't be...

I have just come home from my 10 night stay at Hotel Aziza and already missing it!

We arrived at 12:30pm, check in is 2pm I believe. They kindly greeted us with a drink and let us have lunch in the grand restaurant (so we had an extra meal for free!) whilst we waited for our rooms to be ready. I think this hotel has all these little touches which we appreciated.

The grand restaurant is very spacious and you will always find something to eat! There’s lots of tables to choose where you sit, though I would highly recommend using the left side of the restaurant (near the entrance) as Kohkie/Cookie looks after you. He was the best waiter. Very friendly and diligent and could not fault him. He will take good care of you if you choose to sit in the area that he manages. I didn’t venture out much but it didn’t look like there was many restaurants around so I would recommend going all inclusive. The hotel’s grand restaurant has plenty of options, pastries, pizza, pasta, bread, salad options, meats, ice cream and a million little fancy cakes! There is a Tunisian and international restaurant which I have heard is nice but we didn’t like the look of the menus when we were there. The barbecue restaurant is also supposed to be nice but you have to pay for this (even at all inclusive) so we didn’t go. There is also a snack bar (but bear in mind the snacks are sandwiches, pasta, pizza and not typical “snacks”). This is free for all inclusive and has a lovely view of the beach/sea.

The hotel has many areas where you can get a drink (all areas FOC for all inclusive), the lobby bar, the restaurants, the pub and shisha bar downstairs, the pool bar and my favourite, the beach bar. The beach bar has a lovely area to cool down and has the best view of the beach. It’s a very short walk from the sun loungers on the beach. Speaking of, sun loungers are a plenty. There was only one day we struggled to find 4 together but it was a busy day and was 3pm. Otherwise, there was always a sun lounger free around the pool or on the beach. I have never been to a hotel where there has been one free passed 10/11am! The beach is stunning and one of us walked down and said that this hotel had the best bit of beach (even compared to the 5 star Radison Blu next door). It’s sandy and the hotel clear out the stones and seaweed (again a lovely little touch that you may not realise). The lifeguards are very friendly and there’s security til late at night. I felt 100% safe in leaving my phone and electronics in my bag around the pool or beach. It wasn’t advertised at the hotel but you can kayak and go on the small catamaran for free (I’m not sure if you have to pay if not all inclusive) but would highly recommend!

There is always something to do at the hotel, there is some sort of entertainment every night such as bingo, karaoke, quiz night, live music, belly dancers. During the day, there is an animation team who host aqua aerobics, water polo, darts, ping pong, yoga and beach volleyball. There is an excursion man at the hotel if you wish to book trips with him. We just booked a taxi to the old market which was 10 minutes away bur there is always something to do at the hotel that you don’t need to go out!

The rooms are very spacious and I would highly recommend a sea view as the beach is so close. We had wifi in our room and air con. I didn’t watch TV but did have a browse, there’s an MTV music channel and one channel showing films for English speakers. The beds are quite hard but I slept well. You get a safe and mini fridge for no extra charge.

The only minor faults I would say were I wish you could use the coffee machines that are available at breakfast during lunch and dinner as the lobby bar hot chocolate and coffee wasn’t as nice. At times you would have a lack of glasses by the drinks machines, but you can just request with staff. The breakfast was in our opinion the nicest out of the main meals but it ends at 10am, which we thought was quite early.

All in all it’s a beautiful hotel and would definitely go back...

Wow - what can I say - we have just returned from this hotel and are already looking at booking again for next year. From the time we arrived in reception to the time we left all the staff were amazing. We were shown to our large room with a lovely sea view. The bathroom was large and everything was spotless. Housekeeping ensure that you have large bottles of water in both the bathroom and the fridge daily and our room was cleaned to an great standard every day. Breakfast has more or less everything you could possibly want - the danish pastries were lovely and obviously added to our waistlines ! - we only ate lunch on the first day we were there as every other day we were still full from breakfast. When it came to dinner there wasn't one day when we could not find something to eat. We also ate in the International Restaurant which was delicious and such large portions (needs to be booked in advance at reception). There was never a problem finding a sunbed and the security/lifeguard notices you straight away and comes over to put up your parasol and ask if you need anything else. Sami at the pool bar is very attentive. There are steps and ramps down to the private part of the beach and again just tell security where you would like your sun lounger and they will do it for you. The lobby bar in the evenings was a great place to chat and have a drink before dinner and as soon as you have ordered just tell them where you are seated and they will bring it to you. A special mention to 'Cookie' in the restaurant who looked after us so well !||We had a massage at the spa which is located next to the hotel which was ok but felt a bit rushed. The evening entertainment was good but please do not expect loud music / disco as they don't do it. However, the karaoke bar downstairs was very busy and there is no pressure to sing if you don't want to but lots of people were.||With regards to the resort of Hammamet - be careful if you go to the Hammamet medina as they traders follow you around and can be quite annoying - we tended to stay outside the medina in the regular shops. In the medina they do not display any prices and one guy tried to charge me £30 for 3 small fridge magnets - needless to say we walked away ! ! |They also notice if you are wearing an all inclusive band and try to pretend that they know you from the hotel. This is the only downside. A simple ' no' usually works.||Overall a fantastic holiday and we were so sad to leave on Wednesday morning but we will be back soon.||Final note - you are not permitted to take Dinars out of Tunisia and you cannot use them up at the Duty Free shop at the airport as they confiscate them before you get there. If you have any they will take them and give you a receipt - if you return within 2 years you can claim them back when you arrive - please change them back to |££'s either at your hotel or before security at the airport - you have...

I stayed at the Aziza Hotel for a week in September on an All-Inclusive basis. Before booking, I read very mixed reviews, so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. As usual, the truth lies somewhere in between. Highlights - The Pool: Huge, spotless, perfect temperature, and ideal for relaxing all day. The animation team keeps guests entertained but never disturbs you if you prefer peace. Sunbeds can get “reserved” at 5am, but I always found one later in the day. - The Staff: The hotel’s biggest treasure. Warm, welcoming, attentive. Waiters know their guests by name, housekeeping keeps everything immaculate, and you genuinely feel cared for. Rooms & Facilities The hotel is a bit dated, as others have mentioned, but nothing unacceptable. My room was spacious, with a separate toilet and bathroom, and a great view. The mattresses were on the harder side, which worked for me, but they could use an update. Food If you came for the food, then you came to the wrong place. The buffet had variety, with live BBQ and Tunisian specialties, but the quality was average and quickly became repetitive. Fresh fruit was limited to watermelon and honeydew, with very little variety — no mango, pineapple, or papaya, which you’d normally expect in a summer resort. The International Restaurant was a disaster — probably the worst restaurant experience of my life. After a mediocre onion soup, I was served potato salad, cucumber salad, and tomatoes — exactly what I had already seen at the lunch buffet that day. Instead of offering a proper dining experience, it just recycled the buffet. My “main” was French fries with white rice and pasta in tomato sauce. The same food "recycling" happened at the Barbecue Snack Bar, where the "cake" was actually three little leftover dessert squares from the lunch buffet. Drinks Another let-down for an All-Inclusive resort: all soft drinks were full sugar, with no light or zero options. The breakfast juices came from a syrup-based machine, with artificial colors. The coffee was the worst of all: three machines dispensing overly strong instant coffee. No coffee here has ever seen a real bean. Let’s face it: most people choose AI partly for the drinks, but unless you only want cheap alcohol, the options at the Aziza are disappointing. Overall An okay stay with some real highlights (the pool and staff) but many avoidable let-downs. In the end, it felt like “cheap is good enough for tourists,” and that’s why I wouldn’t return.

Pool area was amazing, music played at a lovely low volume, the sunbeds are nice and plenty of trees and umbrellas for shade. The beach is lovely. Never had a problem finding a sunbed. Food was ok 5/10. It was buffet style unless you booked the two restaurants. These were slightly better and a lovely environment, but similar to the buffet main restaurant. There is no full english style breakfast, the pastry’s they serve are rather dry. The hotel definitely caters more for the Tunisian palate, which is okay if you like trying new food, but even this is not that tasty. The staff are amazing, welcoming, friendly and seem genuine. The all inclusive drinks are left to be desired. The cocktails were cheap tasting and some were not at all drinkable. The white rum which they used was horrid- I spoke to other guests who compared it to paint stripper. The room was nice and large with a balcony. The hotel was very clean, but it was rather old and could do with a lot of modernisation. The entertainment in the evening is very light and consisted of some dancing, karaoke and a Tunisian singer. It could do with a little more investment into entertainment as it did feel cheap. The hotel was quite and peaceful which was perfect for a few days, but more and it would get tiresome. On our final day we were surprised to find the bed beautifully decorated! It was probably good value for money though!

A hotel which grows on you day by day once extent you miss it sorely once holiday ends. A half hour from Hammamet airport, we were greeted very warmly by all staff. The staff are the stars of the show and demonstrated great hospitality throughout our stay. The hotel’s interiors and exterior designs have been created with great love and thought. We were very satisfied with the facilities. The evening entertainment was a bit of a hit and a miss at times but didn’t affect our experience. I would like to mention the New Year’s party organised by the hotel. Stellar effort!! Live band started at 7pm till around 1am. Food was a 5 course event started sat 7:30pm with dessert served around 11pm. It was a huge effort which the staff execute with precision and joy. The lead singer of the band has a great voice. The band played Tunisian, French and a lot of English songs which got the crowd up to dance for list to the night. The Russian burlesque dancers were entertaining as were the traditional Tunisian musicians. Was easily the best New Year’s party I’ve attended and I would highly recommend it. There is an À la carte restaurant tucked away at the far end of the buffet restaurant. I’d recommend booking it for a couple of evening meals. Wednesday night is French lamb cuisine which was spectacular.
