Overall, we had a great time here with our one year old baby. But largely due to visiting in low season, at the start of November, we did have mixed feelings about a number of things.
Let’s start off with the good stuff:
The low season room rate we got through booking with genius discount was very good. We got a very large suite at a price level where you normally get a standard room in most places.
Upon arrival there was a plate of fresh fruits and also a vase with gorgeous fresh flowers.
The staff really make this place shine. In almost all of the interactions, the staff went well above and beyond to meet our needs. You really feel welcome-welcome and not fake welcome if you know what I mean.
We spent considerable time in the executive lounge on the sixth floor. A nice space with ample refreshments. Definitely worth booking a room that grants you access. Great sunset view from there.
My wife enjoyed the massage, which was priced very fair compared to this class of hotels.
On to the things that were not so pleasant, again, largely due to the low season but it would have been better if we had known some of the following up front:
Only the main outside pool was open and it was not heated. This was very unfortunate for us because our baby was too small for the cold water. We explicitly booked a hotel with a swimming pool so that he could enjoy this on hot days. So not allowing him in the pool while we were taking a dive ourselves was really tough on us.
Due to the low guest count, both the breakfast and dinner buffet selection was a LOT more limited than what you see in most of the high season pictures here.
Apart from the massages, all of the spa facilities were closed.
The location doesn’t give immediate access to the beach.
Lastly, a room was being renovated above ours during week days. Most guests don’t spend time in the room during the day, but if you are like us and your kids need a nap, the melody of power drills doesn’t exactly help.
So overall, this big hotel clearly caters more to business and conference visitors as there were little to no children specific facilities, but the staff works with heart and soul to make it work for...

Location From the airport it took about 30mins to reach the hotel. Amazing location.. it's in a compound. Weather was amazing (April) chilled weather. Not so hot not so cold. Everything is around. You have a spa in the hotel. But didnt get to use the spa facilities but heard it's really good from my other colleagues. Its is a beautiful location.

Staff/Service Did not interact with staff very much. They are friendly. Front office staff they do speak English very well. But not very much the junior staff. Was kind hard to convey the message.
They have 03 main restaurants. Italian (they do not have a big menu) Indian restaurant (open only for dinner) couldn't go to the restaurant for dinner. Coffee shop.

Rooms/ recreation activities Rooms are spacious, clean. Be room is about queen size it think. And a huge TV. Bathroom is ok size but it more than enough for a couple. When taking a bath, water does not go quickly as it should be. Bath tub is blocked obviously. They need to look into that.
They have an out door pool. Looks amazing but didnt use it since its bit chilly weather. But I doubt its gona be amazing during summer.

Read moreSo, there are good and bad aspects to this hotel. We stayed five nights, so had a fairly in depth experience. To start with, we had booked a suite. When we booked in we were allocated a room and I kept thinking, surely this isn’t a suite. My French isn’t great, so there was a language barrier. But I even showed the reception girl my booking and she still got it wrong. After the second night, I asked again at reception and it turned out that there had been a mistake. They upgraded us from an ‘Executive’ room to a junior suite. That’s all well and good. They did refund the difference and give us a complimentary couples massage. The massage was truly excellent. ||There are three restaurants. A Tunisian one serving a la carte and buffet, a really good Italian and a fantastic authentic Indian. The Indian restaurant served some of the best food we’ve had. The Italian was also great. Really lovely staff too. The Tunisian one was awful. Ambivalent, couldn’t be bothered rude staff, over priced mediocre food and very busy. ||The outdoor pool was a godsend, and we used it every day. It’s a full sized pool and wasn’t usually too busy. Loved it, and spent a lot of time swimming and sunbathing. Really nice pool boy too. ||As we had a suite we had unlimited access to the VIP lounge. Nibbles and drinks on tap and again lovely staff. That was great too. ||Our second room ‘Junior suite’ was really big with a lovely sitting room, great bathroom and usefully, two toilets. However, there was an awful smell in there, that just wouldn’t go away. ||Overall, I wouldn’t go back. Considering we booked one of the best rooms in a five star hotel, attention to detail and customer service could be...
