Invictum Residence — Hotel in Beyoğlu

What a horrible place. We booked through Airbnb for 2 nights, arrived and was shown a room completely different to what we booked, and were told that it's the same, just different layout - it was very different! That wasn't the biggest issue though. The cleanliness was non-existent. There room was filthy, mould everywhere in the bathroom and even next to the bed, empty and half used toiletries in the shower, stains on the linen and towels, something spilt on the floor that wasn't cleaned and sticky, the fridge was covered in old food and wasn't working, the kitchen stove was rusted and hadn't been cleaned, there was dust and hair everywhere, the aircon was pathetic and this was just the start. The only positive was the friendliness of the man at reception, although was oblivious to the fact that we leaving after one day. He didn't ask why we were leaving or for any feedback. DO NOT rely on the photos. Also, the advertised 'free laundry service' doesn't exist - apparently the machine was broken, although I have no doubt it's been broken for quite a while. We recently stayed at this hotel in Istanbul, and unfortunately, our experience was not very satisfying. While the location is definitely convenient and central, that alone isn’t enough to make up for the other issues we faced.

First of all, we were extremely disappointed and uncomfortable to find out that the hotel shared my info and even my sister's information with other guests, completely without our consent. This is a serious privacy violation and left us feeling very unsafe.

The rooms were quite small and on top of that, there was not always hot water available. The minibar fridge in the room didn’t work at all, the hairdryer wasn’t working either, and the communication skills of the reception staff were very poor, which made resolving issues even more difficult.

All in all, despite the good location, I would not recommend this hotel due to poor service, lack of basic amenities, unprofessional staff, and the unacceptable...

Our stay at Invictum Residence Hotel was fantastic. I will highly recommend this hotel as our stay were 9 nights. Breakfast was good even though it was the same everyday, very much as it is in our homes but we could choose what we wanted to eat on daily basis. At home we don't eat of everything that is in our fridge, cupboards etc. on daily basis, we get to choose. It does not mean if it was the same breakfast we ate of everything. No we plated our plates to what we wanted to eat on that day. Well maybe it's due to me being in hospitality I know how to plate a well balanced and scrumptious looking plate. |The staff was amazing, friendly, very helpful and went the extra mile for us until our departure even with the wrapping of our bags. |Slight damp smell but after we opened the window it was all gone. |Thank you to the staff of Invictum...
