PUHU OTEL — Hotel in Kadıköy

We went to Istanbul to spend 2 nights. For the first night we found this hotel, that had good reviews and it was not so expensive. Arriving there, the entrance hall was so narrow that already got me worried: barely enough space for 1 person to walk in. There was no elevator, we were at the second floor and the stairs and room floor were made out of old wood. Very noisy. In our room there was a big indentation on the floor in front f the bathroom. The room smelled weird and the dark foliage wallpaper and cheesy paintings made me feel like in a horror movie.. the bathroom was so tiny I couldn't even get inside properly. But since we arrived at 3am, there was not much to do... we just accepted we had to stay there. Some guests arrived after us, around 5am. It was so loud and they started talking and smoking in the room next to us, I couldn't sleep at all.. felt depressed, cried my eyes out and wanted to fo back home immediately. I thought the short trip was ruined. When we woke up and walked out for breakfast we passed in front of another hotel, it was looking so charming that we decided to go inside, ask the price and see some rooms. I fell in love with their suite on the 3rd floor. It would cost us 3x more than the other one.. but it definitely saved our trip. We paid for the room and went to get our stuff from the Puhu hotel. The times we went in and out with our luggages, there was nobody at the front desk. Unless you are really on a tight budget, go...

if you want to witness Turkish Hospitality, stay at PUHU. good location with so many food shops around and a nice grocery store right outside the hotel. 5 to 6 minutes walk to Kadidoy Ferry Dock & Bus & Taxi stand. I booked a standard room but the owner was kind enough to give me the deluxe room in the same price. He also helped me with my HES Code. the guy is great & so helping. Rooms are nice & clean. i just got more than i had paid. it was worth it. If you have a car, parking can be an issue. WiFi speed was good. no hiccups as such. i really enjoyed my 2 nights stay. Hats off...

The room was immaculate and well-organized. The bathroom was top-notch, providing nearly instant hot water. The staff were exceptionally kind, understanding, and accommodating. Despite my inability to check in by the deadline due to unforeseen circumstances, they ensured my reservation remained intact. I deeply appreciate their flexibility. The hotel's location is ideal, being within walking distance of both a major transportation hub and the scenic seaside. Given the value, it's undoubtedly one of the best accommodations...
