Koreköy Korean Restaurant&Cafe — Restaurant in Kadıköy

Whenever I crave for a Korean food, I typically order Yukgaejang and I love the taste the of this specific soup. As usual, I ordered it(45 TL I guess) here and I was surprised that I had to purchase rice separately(7 TL). It was the first time in reverse to my usual experience where rice comes along free with the main dish. it took almost 30 or more minutes for the food to come. Then, the taste of Yukgaejang was not there. It was spicy and ingredients seemed right, but it just didn't taste like Yukgaejang at all. I expected it to be Yukgaejang but it didn't come like that so I was a bit disappointed for that part. Nevertheless the soup was delicious though lol. And the weirdest part is, I was given only kimchi for the panchang/sidedish. Usually korean restaurants give at least 4 or 5 different sidedishes. However, prices are a little lower to other korean restaurants I've been to in Istanbul. The place is clean and close the Kadikoy stations. We are in turkey, so we were not expecting much for Korean food - but wanted to see how the locals did it.

The food itself was quite disappointing, the kimchi tasted very salty (wasn’t definitely not fresh, as it tasted a bit stale).

The bibimbap was okay, not the best or the worst. The veggies did look old and stale aswell.

The KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) was like a joke, the crispness of the chicken was not there and the sauce was lacking a little.

The tteokbokki with ramen was decent, cannot complain much.

These are just my opinion, please don’t get offended as I want to help improve the food quality if possible.

Yiğidi öldür hakkını yeme, yemekler parmak yedirtecek kadar güzel. Bu kadar güzelini yemedim. Ancak servis çok ama çok kötü. Zaten garip bir sipariş sistemleri var, QR kod ile karışıklık olmasın diye tek telefondan sipariş verilmesini rica ediyorlar, çalışanları zorlamayalım verelim elbette de masaya neyin geldiği yine getiren arkadaşa bağlı. Dün gittiğimizde şunu yaşadık mesela: Yanlışlık olduğunu söyleyince siparişini bilmediğine yemeği tanımadığına ikna ediyorlar, tamam malzemesi kısılmış herhalde ne yapalım deyip yiyorsun, yarım saat sonra yanındaki adamın önüne senin siparişini koyuyorlar, sonra da diyorlar ki yanlış tabağı yemişsiniz.

Bir de kasada asabi olma ve derdinizi dinlemek istememe sebebi oruç tutmak olan kişiden kamyonla azar yemek istemiyorsanız aç aç masadaki diğer insanları bekletmekten yorulduğunuz için abartısız bir saattir hazırlandığı iddia edilen ve hala ne zaman hazır olacağı belli olmayan tabağı artık istemediğinizi ifade etmeyin. Zorla masayı gasp ettiğiniz için ya bir buçuk saat önünüze tek lokma gelmesini bekleyin ya da hayır olsun diye ödeyin gidin.

Bu kadar şok olmamın sebebi normalde bu insanların yüzünden gülücükler eksilmez, bir sorun olursa hep çözmeye çalışırlardı. Her seferinde sipariş biraz gecikse bile, içeceklerin gelmediğini hatırlatmak gerekse bile o kadar iyi niyetli yaklaşırlardı ki rahat rahat sineye çekebilirdiniz. O kadar garipti ki dün, insanın aynı yer olduğuna inanası gelmiyor.

Çalışanlara ve işletmeciye oruçlarının da sevaplarının da yalnızca kendilerini alakadar ettiğini, kendilerinin de kabul etmeyeceklerini bildikleri bir sürede ancak servis yapabileceklerse sipariş almadan önce müşterilerine bu bilgiyi vermelerinin uygun düşeceğini hatırlatmak isterim.
