If you have a problem, it will likely not get resolved and the staff at this hotel will stop contacting you. My first issue was the service. The staff are very friendly and concerned and will try their best to accommodate you. However, when I mentioned an issue about unfair and unjustified pricing on their behalf, they did not resolve it and then stopped responding to emails from my family. I spoke to two guest relations employees in-person about my issue: the first one assured me an answer by the next day; however, I was leaving the next day to travel back overseas and had to speak to a second employee who had no resolution for me. I thought that they would at least email my sister with a resolution as they had emailed her promptly several times prior to our arrival, but to my dismay, we never heard from this hotel. I even emailed them once I returned home, but it has now been two months and I haven’t received any response. I have severe food allergies which made it very difficult for me to eat safely in Turkey. When I arrived at this hotel, the guest relations employee offered to have the kitchen staff cook me a safe meal upon hearing about my previous experiences. On our second night, I asked the Lima kitchen to prepare plain chicken cooked in salt and oil. They offered to prepare it as a Shish Kabob, which I declined because I was worried about how my stomach would react since I was still recovering from food poisoning. I was given 4 small pieces of chicken thighs, about 2.5 inches in diameter. I expected this meal to cost no more than 200 lira, however, when I got the bill it was 630 lira (total of 710 lira with a drink of tea). I was shocked at the price, especially since I was not informed of the price of the meal prior to ordering it, but I decided to just pay it since I hadn't eaten a meal in several days and was very tired. I compared this pricing to the meals my family ate, which included a whole pizza made from scratch in the kitchen for around 400 lira - we all thought my meal was greatly overpriced. The next day, my family and I were at the hotel’s Pagos rooftop bar. I noticed the menu there had a Shish Kabob meal that included rice, vegetables, and bread listed at 630 lira. This means that the prior day I was charged for a Shish Kabob meal, even though I declined it and just ate 4 small pieces of chicken. It is absurd that this was the most expensive meal I had eaten in Turkey, and it was the quickest and least complex to prepare. My other issue with the hotel is the atmosphere – being right on the sea, the smell became quite bad at times. They also host very loud rooftop parties on weekends… which means no sleep if you are staying closer to the top. Otherwise, the sunsets are beautiful and the hotel facilities were by far the most unique and clean I had seen in Turkey.

I am grateful the staff at this hotel took the time and care to prepare me a safe meal. However, the disconnection from them instead providing me with any response is completely...

I am very disappointed at how the personal feeling and the desire to make you feel special ad a guest has gone downhill. I am very sad to be writing this and may probably choose an alternative 5 star hotel for my 2 week stay in September. ||Service around the pool is very poor, you have to go mainly go in and order rather than the personal service of being given a poolside service - there is one guy with curly hair who still cares and looks after you, but there is a woman who looks very unhappy and does not speak a word to you! Yesterday, there was a function at the pool area - the pool is the main part of the experience and the whole area was not set up all day - no alternative was offered or apologies or advance warning! ||Health and Safety - the poolside toilets light was not working and it was pitch black in there - when I closed the toilet door my toe got stuck underneath the door! It was agony. At first, the hotel was amazing - treating my wound and sending a member of staff to the hospital with us to translate - the young man was brilliant. However, this was where the hotels responses ended. I was unable to swim and really walk around for 2 days. I could not leave the hotel. I emailed the hotel advising of this and explained that I would have expected complimentary drinks and food at the pool side at the very least - considering it was their lack of health and safety that caused my Injury - I had no response to my email from the managers and instead one of the staff from guest relations had to go and find the managers and their response was, it was my fault and it was an accident which means they don’t believe that they need or want to try and enhance my stay in any way - in a 5 star hotel where I have visited many times! So dissatisfied:-( ||Our room also went uncleaned and we had to make a fuss to get it cleaned - I don’t want to nags a fuss on holiday - I want to enjoy my stay without complaint. ||Finally - I went to the spa yesterday - I had a lovely treatment before here this week - however all I could hear was drilling from next door construction site - when I spoke to the spa manager and explained that it had totally ruined my treatment- he said - sorry but we cannot do anything about it? Had I been warned in advance I would have not booked. The actual treatment was great but I just could not relax. So, today, we are going to the Swiss hotel for the day to check out their...

Grand Luxury with great views!

Right from the minute you step into the hotel, you would be treated to a fine mixture of warmth, hospitality, and luxury that might be hard to find elsewhere in this port city. I believe that Luxury in accommodation comes from the levels of Hospitality you are treated to, and this place is a true 7-star in that aspect! And the views the rooms in this hotel come with are alone a reason for you to pick this place. The super warm service is the icing on the cake!

LOCATION: Fantastic location by the waterfront and right next to the Konak Pier

DINE + DRINK: They have a Club lounge at level one with great terrace views and also a lobby-level bar/bistro that comes loaded with million-dollar views of the waterfront and great food.

ROOM: We stayed in Room 1515, so this review is based on that; VIEW: Mind-blowing views of the bay of Izmir from the panoramic huge windows of the room! One reason why we never left the room!; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting us to sleep. They even offer a choice of special Pillows in case you prefer them!; BATHROOM: Huge bathroom with a Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Excellent spa quality cosmetics by ACCA KAPPA brand

FACILITIES: Very good Gym with a basic range of weights and Cardio machines perfect for a full on workout. They have a nice Indoor heated pool as well as an outdoor swimming pool on the rooftop

SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all our needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. Special Shout out to DENIZ (the guest services staff) who ensured we were treated like royalty rather than a loyalty members! Special thanks to the Front office manager and also the GM who extended a very warm welcome to us, which made us even...

The hotel is located within easy walking distance to the center of the city directly on the waterfront. Its a smaller property so not as conducive to the large tour groups most Turkish hotels service. The property seemed fairly new. The staff was generally quite good and accommodating. Our room was spacious and offered a great sea view. The meals in the restaurants were quite good. Oddly however the menu on the rooftop restaurant is identical to the menu of the restaurant off the lobby. I had hoped for some variety. The lobby restaurant serves breakfast and had a solid buffet with some order off the menu options. My main critique of the restaurants is they make it almost impossible to charge meals to your room. They kept telling me I had no line of credit set up, even when I went to the front desk before the meal to set up a line of credit. As such I had to pay for each meal separately. It was odd the hotel actively encourages you in this way to eat elsewhere. The good news is there are plenty of other outside dining options around the hotel you can go to. I'm not sure why this hotel can't operate like any other Marriott affiliated property in the world and allow room charges. Kind of irritating. My only other critique of this property is their club lounge which is tiny and too small to handle the number of lounge guests they service. The lounge needs to be increased in size and hire a second helper. Where the rooftop restaurant is offers plenty of space and could be remodeled as the club lounge. Particularly since this restaurant offers the identical menu of the lobby restaurant. Other than these two critiques we did enjoy this hotel and the location of it. We would return to it understanding its shortcomings and likely getting more meals out of the hotel as their room charge policies encourage one to do.

(Stayed during a Ciconia tour in October 2024). What a lovely hotel. Except for the dog located across my room that started barking at 6:30am incessantly, and even well after calling reception, I have zero negative feedback. Otherwise, I was fortunate to stay on a top floor with a small side water view during the National Turkiye celebration! Couldn't see any of the celebration for my room but was able to secure a spot just outside the hotel to view the festivities. The beds are incredibly soft and clean. Very large TV and a sitting area. Bathrooms are luxurious with marble. Individual pumps for shampoo, conditioner, and body soaps. Shower was strong and temperature consistent and water was warm. The only thing missing might have been a warming towel rack but truly there isn't a good place to put it as everything is well placed out and organized. Mini fridge had multiple options for liquids and snacks. Options to tame your salt or sugar cravings are available for purchase. Pricing is a little high for the area for each but not uncommon in a five-star hotel. You can control the individual temperature within your room. Very nice monogram Marriott slippers and a robe for use. Towels were a little on the smaller size for five star hotel and not as fluffy as one would expect. Typical bathroom amenities and anything forgotten can be requested. Breakfast options were plentiful and could request customized items. Coffee with some of the better tasting that I've had. Can request coffee to go as well. The eggs benedict is a must. If returning to the area would definitely stay at this hotel.
