Merthomes Marmaris — Hotel in Marmaris

This “boutique” hotel is by no means in hospitality services.

The general manager is wildly ignorant and rude. For some reason being openly rude is considered to be ok. He suggested me to “change my wife” in response that we were not happy to unfair exchange rate overcharge. When I pointed out that it is not nice to treat your guests so poorly, he replied he doesn’t care what his guests think.

The windows of the room are facing walls or construction and not what you see in an advertisement made by the hotel. You surely will not see this until you are there.

Another thing nobody tells you is that the walls are made apparently of paper and you will not sleep until 3 am, as you will feel all the vibrations from the music base playing inside the building.

Second week of September stay for 7 nights - clean, spacious rooms. We had the large family room so it had 2 bedrooms within the apartment room. Bedrooms and shower room were nice and spacious and most importantly nice and clean. Smart TV in both of the bedrooms and a fridge. Also tea/coffee/water available in the rooms & AC and WiFi was top notch. Necessities provided such as shampoo, shower gel, hair dryer, towels etc. Located in the middle of Marmaris city centre so walking distance to restaurants, bazaars, marina etc Right next to bar street so not suitable for babies/kids or anyone who wants an early night as loud music is heard until the early hours. Mert and his brothers are good lads, helped us with any info we required. If we travel to Marmaris again, we would stay here...

Very modern and clean rooms with good air conditioning, and a free breakfast is included in the price. The hotel manager is also very nice and helpful in providing recommendations and tips for local restaurants and clubs (which are all easily within walking distance).
