We stopped here for dinner, we were walking past the previous night and the man trying to get people in to eat was very friendly asking where we were from and doing their accents.
They took off the service charge before we ordered any food. I asked about the pizza and was told it was frozen, not freshly made. I decided not to have it. I chose the lamb chops with rice and no chips to include cucumber and red onion. My husband had the red mullet. They recommended the Selection red wine, which was the most expensive wine on the menu.
When our food arrived the red mullet was 5 small fishes, they were tiny and dry, it was like eating your pet gold fish. With roughly 6 pieces of dry potatoes. They put the salad on my husband's plate which consisted of dry lettuce, cucumber and an onion ring.
My lamb was described as "it will melt in your mouth" it didn't melt in my mouth. They gave me rice, chips and an onion ring. The onion was older than my husband. I didn't eat either or touch the onion ring, it didn't look edible. My food was luke warm with a wrap under and covering the lamb.
Overall a shabby display of food, not what we expected given the amount of chat the staff gave about the food and service.
We should have listened to the woman the night before when she said " they do good wine" no mention of the food.
Not going back there or their sister...
Read moreDont waste your money and go somewhere else. We went there for a cocktail and we could drink them! Look the colour of my drink! The staff was really nice until they got us the drinks, then they disappear and never asked us if everything was ok. The prices are not cheap, 180 liras for a cocktail, that’s 10 euros! They promise you that they are the only bar in the harbour using real alcoholic drinks but that’s not true. And if it is, what a shame! The cocktails are just pure syrup.
When we ordered the bill, we told them the cocktails were not ok, then one of the waiters said that he could make one to go. We didn’t drink them at all, just in sip, so we told them not to charge for them, then they said that was not possible.
We paid and we left. They then asked us to come back for lunch the next day promising the food was very good, but we will never be back at this place. If you go order beer, forget about the cocktails. There are so many nice places to go in Maramaris, much cheaper and...
Read moreWe were welcomed and seated to dine in. We ordered our food promptly and then it went down hill from there. After nearly an hour wait and other customers being served their food after we’d arrived, we approached the staff. They were ignorant and fobbed us off with silly excuses, but no apologies or sincere explanations as to why we were still waiting and kept hungry. After a further 10 more minutes and still no food we were ready to leave. This is when the staff became very rude and aggressive! Instead of taking responsibility they threw the blame out because we made a complaint that we’d been kept waiting and that we wanted to leave. I would never recommend a place that treats it’s customers by keeping them hungry and waiting whilst hurling verbal abuse and aggressive behaviour at them for complaining!!! If you ever do dine here make sure you ask how long before the food arrives otherwise you’ll be left waiting...
