The cleaner was rude and had a very bad temperament. We often declined the daily cleaning as we did not require to which the cleaner was ecstatic and displayed the biggest smile. However, when we did say yes to cleaning the cleaner looked at me with great disdain. It was so awkward and she would walk past as if she was having a tantrum not getting her way.
On one of the days I had spilt some coffee and asked for a cloth to clean it. The cleaner took the cloth from me to clean it herself only to wipe half of it and leave the rest. I was happy to clean it myself properly.
The room got super dusty and the floor was filthy. If the cleaners don't want to clean them at least provide a dust pan and brush. I had to go round with wet tissue.
The fridge was dirty with no freezer compartment.
One room was booked as a double the other as two singles. Despite there being a sofa/bed available it was a harder mattress with no extra duvet available.
Only two TV English channels available, one was the news. No app channels available. Has HDMI input.
Room service food is very poor, arrived cold and substandard. I initially though it would be great because they serve food 24hrs but unfortunately it's not the best.
The bell staff are not welcoming, or willing to provide actual help. The vibe is more security and bouncer type. Random hotel users were of more use and help. One lady overheard me and kindly offered to lend change to give to a taxi driver so I could get more cash from an ATM. She was so sweet.
From the four persons within our party, one member was of dark skin complexion and he was the only one to be questioned if he was staying at the hotel and to provide his room number and card to prove it when returning from the restaurant. This is clearly racial profiling. If you are so hot on security then request this of everyone!
Plenty of water is provided, they supply two 2 litre bottles daily.
AC was terrible, very weak, the instructions had worn away. Makeup was smeared on the wall.
The bathroom door hooks were broken. The shower leaked onto the floor every time due to poor design. Writing on mirror frames was visible from installation. There is no cream provided, only hand and body wash, no shampoo/conditioner. The toilet spray metal part had fallen into the bowel. One of the towel wraps was frayed and worn.
The shower was power
The double bed was made of two singles that consistently came apart. The bedsheet had a large stain.
The black curtains don't black out the room as other hotels do as the light creeps from the edges.
The outside bed on the balcony was great, the view overlooking the pool with the sea in the backdrop was lovely. It had a useful hanging rail to dry clothes.
The shelf lights are a major hazard. People often walk into them. And they are literally falling off the wall.
The light in the wardrobe didn't work. Only a few hangers available but the annoying kind that you have to hook into the metal hook. You have to request for an iron and ironing board.
The pool water was freezing despite being sunny. The pool side set up beds and pillows were good.
The gym equipment was excellent. A great variety of new and high standard kit. Plenty of changing facilities. The sauna and steam room were also good. Plenty of towels and shawls provided. And options for massages and drinks.
Overall the hotel is below the value for money.
This is my fifth time in Antalya. For every one nice person there are a hundred just plain rude individuals. The constant attempts to rip you off are frustrating and exhausting. A lot are very arrogant and racist. Tip: don't go, if you have to go; be polite but if they are rude stand your...
Read moreHotel was as the pictures show. As expected because the rooms are all white it’s easy to see all the scuff marks left by previous visitors. The halls leading to the rooms have black carpets and neon pink lighting which can be a bit dizzying. The rooms have large mirrors on each wall. Felt a bit like a “love hotel” in that sense, if you know what I mean. The bathrooms were clean with instant hot water and a very powerful shower, although what was disappointing was the toilet, I value cleanliness a lot especially with a toilet, they have a basic bidet loo with the the spray nozzle really sticking out which wasn’t t clean at all, I would have preferred a spray gun. They left paper/plastic cups in the room for teas/coffees, apparently for hygiene reasons, the cups smelled like chemicals, I would have preferred a usual ceramic mug being a 5 star hotel. The facilities were in abundance, the spa was definitely a big winner for me. The staff (for the hotel) on the other hand hardly smiled, were uninterested and really unhelpful 99% of the time. I felt like I was a burden even when requesting simple stuff like a bottle of water. I found very few spoke any English, and look I get I’m in a foreign country but if you’re going open up you lands to tourists at least be a bit prepared for the most spoken language in the world! I even used google translate at times but that didn’t seem very useful as for reasons unknown to me the staff still didn’t understand what I was asking for… I went in June, so the outdoor pool was open, I opted to use the indoor pool due to the high temperatures, it was nice that I had it all to myself, the pool was clean but the woods bordering the pool was wearing away and cracking. The hotel food wasn’t that great, I tried breakfast buffet once which was ok I guess for being around £6-7 pp. The lounge menu was dreadful, I ordered a ribeye steak that took 45mins only to be served with a thin overcooked, dry tuna looking thing. I tried to explain this wasn’t ribeye or anything that resembled a steak, they didn’t seem interested and were quick to hand me the bill.Outside the hotels is boulevard, a parade of around 30ish restaurants and coffee shops. Teaming with energy and life, they close around 1am every and have a lovely atmosphere. Prices are not too steep with a decent meal setting you back around 250tl. I’ve got to say I felt unwelcome in turkey, I also went to Istanbul a couple of weeks before this and had a similar experience. Perhaps I’m biased, I was a solo male traveler with a Middle Eastern /Asian complexion, I tipped well, spoke politely and tried not to bother too many people yet I felt like I shouldn’t be there. I have since learned by one of the cafe owners that Turks don’t actually like people of my “complexion” or anyone resembling Middle Eastern people which is disappointing, and the end of the day if you want the tourism be a bit more hospitable at the very least...
Read more👎 The hotel had an impersonal atmosphere and lacked warmth. There was a language barrier with some staff members. The WiFi was unreliable, and there were frequent connectivity issues. Additionally, the central air conditioning was not turned on during the winter, but the hotel provided a fan upon request. The overall ambiance felt sterile, and I believe adding more plants and warmer lighting would greatly improve the atmosphere. Another downside was that the half board only included water during dinner, while other drinks were at an additional cost. The gym was always busy in the evenings, making it necessary to wait for equipment. Once Guest Relations discovered that there were areas I was unhappy with, they took the information with great interest but did not offer any goodwill gestures which was a missed opportunity to avoid this review and potentially gain a prospective returning customer.
👍 On the positive side, I was impressed by a Spanish singer who performed at the hotel. The Dove hand and bath wash provided were decent. I appreciated the convenience of being able to choose when my room was cleaned using a simple card. The balcony bed with a great night view of the sea and mountains was a unique feature that I liked. There was pleasant jazz music playing during breakfast, creating a nice ambiance. The salads and desserts offered a wide variety and high quality that could rival those I've had in Dubai, which always sets a high benchmark. The elevators in the hotel were fast, allowing easy access to different areas. Personal trainers and classes were easily available in the gym for those interested. The sea view rooms were excellent, providing a similar view to the more expensive Rixos hotel nearby. Although the main dishes in the hotel restaurant were good and offered enough variety for everyone, I noticed that the quality was better in independent restaurants nearby, which could be attributed to cooking in smaller quantities. Unless convenience is a priority, I would suggest considering dining at the nearby local restaurants for a more satisfying experience. Lastly, I had a great time enjoying a 40-minute escooter ride to the old town, which was both safe and fun, especially on a hot day.
Overall, while there were some positive aspects, the hotel did not fully meet my expectations. As a solo traveler, I found the atmosphere to be lacking in excitement and personal touch. In my experience visiting Turkey, I have always encountered more warmth and a greater emphasis on personal connection. This hotel fell short in delivering the renowned Turkish hospitality that I have come to appreciate. I am pleased that I didn't take my family...
