Trafalgar Tour Group stayed at this awful hotel April 2023. I can only say, it was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at which calls itself a 4 star hotel. Rooms, like something out of someones crazy dream. The decor is cheap sparse, and has dirty tiled floors that your shoes will stick to. The rooms have unfinished concrete ceilings that are covered in dust. The furnishings are laughable and disgraceful to say the least that are made of cheap plywood. I cannot find words to describe the bathrooms. Old dirty and not fully functioning again with dirty floors and no air circulation hence the smell of mold. Air conditioning none existent. I called front desk and was told, just open your windows. What they did not mention when doing so, you will hear nothing but loud music, cars and motorcycles drag racing down the street outside. People yelling, police sirens and dogs barking all night long. Being with a tour group of 43 persons we, the group, all complained of the same noise levels and the in ability to sleep subsequently from it. Several of the tour group members requested a room change as did I. The response I got from the front desk by a young man who called him self Bahtuman was "I am Batman, not boss so you come back next day" Breakfasts are plentiful with a wide selection being offered. The hot breakfast selection though was cold both days like it had been sitting without warming pans. Over all I was pleased to be only staying 2 nights, Shame on Trafalgar Tours for using this despicable disrespectful noisy hotel in the first place. Advice, do not waste your money and time because all you will be doing is paying for frustration and anger. To the manager, don't bother yourself to comment on this review. Your time is worthless and means nothing to me. I could not find anything about this hotel worth a real positive mention. I have...
Read moreMy friend and I had an amazing time at Marmara during our stay in Antalya. Everything was great, we stayed at the revolving building part of the hotel and enjoyed beautiful sea view from big windows which changed every 6 hours (from city to sea view).
The breakfast was included with our stay which was different each day, I loved their starter soups everyday and their fresh omelettes - cooked on order was a delight both to our eyes and taste buds.
The staff especially Mehmet at reception and Onur were very helpful and gave a lot of suggestions for sight seeing and restaurants.
Samad was another helpful and polite waiter we came across during our late night evening meals in the restaurant. The restaurant was open 24/7 and had a great selection of items at a decent price with a view of swimming pool.
We also had access to a hygienic and welcoming spa including steam, sauna and hot bath services free of charge included with our stay. We were lucky enough to enjoy that almost every day.
At the spa ( for an additional charge) we had amazingly relaxing massages including Turkish massage with honey mask. The masseuse Eri and Chinta were polite and very gentle but yet thorough with their work. I also had a facial with Sevim which was super nice and slept through the service 🤣. Over all the spa staff including Necla - the manager were friendly and endeavoured to meet our requests.
Also, the beach access from hotel leads you to a scuba diving site, which is not part of the hotel but we got to enjoy a dive for the first time with Hadi and Jan at stingray divers. Wow is all I can say!
I really hope to visit Antalya again and mostly because of our choice of stay. Thank you Marmara for making this a beautiful...
Read moreIt may be 4.5 stars (Tripadvisor) or 5 stars (Hotel’s own classification) by Turkish standards, but it deserves no more than 3 star by international.||First impressions: “security guards” smoking, outside the front door, through which entrance is cramped by scanner machine. |Dark and claustrophobic lobby. 3 x unsupervised trainee receptionists with little English, either understanding or speaking. Efficient luggage porter. ||The room is barely 3*. Decor worse than it looks in the photo: lurid and peeling. |Lighting awful: to read a book after dark, you have to move the chair into the wardrobe space. |Bathroom/WC haven’t seen any renovation in years. No plugs in basins (apparently a tradition locally - they have them in Istanbul!) so can’t fill sink to shave/ wash underwear, |Had to dismantle the drying line thing to make it work. |The safe is impossibly located (underneath the mini-bar), only accessible on hands and knees. |No Nespresso machine: instead paper packets: instant coffee 2, tea bags 2, sugar 2, creamer 2. Ask for more and much later a handful is shoved through the door. |Complimentary fruit bowl needed to be requested twice. ||Pool large, life-guarded on seemingly a random basis.||Breakfast in a cavernous holiday-camp style, noisy, space, with graffiti on walls (decor?). Well-staffed, milling around. Buffet quite well stocked but random layout: why not keep food groups co-located.||Gardens neat close to the hotel buildings, but increasingly untidy and littered further out in the grounds.||Morning male senior receptionist very helpful sorting out tour company which didn’t arrive.||Hotel worth...
