Before arriving at this cave hotel, I have been liaising with Mehmet about our booking. He was friendly and quick to respond to my queries! Our family of 6 people were happy with the service and cleanliness of the rooms. They had decent towels and bed sheets. Also provided the roll out beds as requested. The breakfast was simple and tasty. Even though we couldn’t communicate in Turkish, the waitress and chef tried to provide us with the food we needed. We didn’t opt for the prearranged tour packages as it was out of our budget. Mehmet did manage to secure a few things for us which suited our preference i.e a car and driver so that we can go on a self guided tour. We ended up exploring most of the destinations on the ‘red tour’ and watch the hot air balloons take flight. We were happy with the transport and friendly drivers we had on the days we were there. The prices to stay at this cave hotel is very reasonable (includes breakfast) however bear in mind it is about 10-15min drive from the main town (goreme) where all of the restaurants and shops are located. You can easily get a taxi to and from your hotel for approx 80TL. Note: there are two airports in Cappadocia - our Turkish friend recommended Nevsehir as it was closer than Kayseri. I didn’t research properly hence booked Kayseri at first and changed it afterwards with a nominal fee. Also if you’re coming from Istanbul, there are also two airports - IST (European side) and SAW (Asian side).

This place is beyond praise. Taking care of guests in every detail. The soul is in the decor of the rooms and common areas. Charming employees who serve breakfast. The room was warm (heating) and dry, you can safely go in winter. The view from the breakfast terrace is great. Compared to the hustle and bustle of a hotel in Goreme... Capa Via is home, I would love to spend at least a week here. The three of us easily accommodated in the room, according to the photographs, I doubted that there would be enough space

Great experience and amazing staff at this hotel. Best value for the price! The staff were wonderful and hotel manager was incredible kind! Mehmet booked everything for us. We didn’t have to lift a finger! Balloon tour, taxis, etc. as for the rooms they were nice and huge. One of my favorite experiences were the phenomenal bath tub and pools! The rooftop has GORGEOUS views at night and during the daytime for the continental breakfast. The staff are so funny and sweet. We would definitely come back again.

Unfortunately we faced many issues with this ‘hotel’ during our stay in Cappadocia. It is a shame that the advertised pictures do not reflect the experience we had. ||||Upon arrival at Cappadocia airport, we had booked the 15€ transfer. We were asked to get on a shared van which only had 2 seats left, we were 3 travelers. The lady was less than helpful and ushered us to climb aboard. For a 45 min journey, of course we declined and chose a taxi instead. Very disappointing as we were expecting a private transfer to the hotel. ||||When we arrived at the hotel, we were met by a young boy working reception - maybe 18 years old? He then proceeded to demand the transfer money from us stating we were a ‘no show’…. We of course declined to pay as it was their issue. There was no manager available at this time to welcome us. ||||The room was ok. The cave style is a great experience. However once again there was issues, only 2 towels in the room, no air conditioning and cave was extremely hot, no duvet for third bed… generally we were not happy. We then ordered from their room service option and received soup.. in a bag … ||||Beds were uncomfortable with cheap linen and pillows, no cleaning or maid service unless you specifically ask for it. The breakfast was minimal and not hotel standard - more home stay standard. We also witnessed the breakfast lady remove leftover food off customers plates when they had finished and RETURN IT BACK TO THE BUFFET. We were shocked. Of course this is completely unacceptable - not hotel standard. ||||We never received any kind of apology for our stay even though we expressed our disappointment. The man who worked in the day had very poor English and could not understand half of our requests. I recommend that at least one person at the hotel should have English in order to communicate with international guests. Do not recommend, I believe there are many more options that are better to stay in Cappadocia. Don’t make the same mistake we did! For reference we are three girls who travel a lot and don’t have ridiculously high standards! This was still...
