I arrived in Pamukkale via Train & Taxi from Izmir. A bit of a train trip ! I was immediately greeted by Fettan seemed to be the main Boss and proprietor. I am from Oregon USA so I was pleasantly surprised that we could communicate mostly in English. I was ready for an afternoon rest after the train journey. I was shown my room with in 15 minutes from check in . I was lucky to receive a premium room overlooking there well manicured Swimming pool and spa. With a FRONT & Center View of the Pamukkale Mineral Mountain and Springs!! The room was cozy and comfortable a nice balcony to view the pool and mountains. The bathroom and shower was small but manageable and very Clean !! The bed was comfortable as well , as long as you don’t mind a firm bed. Again with a View through the windows to the Mineral Mountain. I was glowing multi colors at night ! There restaurant on site is just steps away from the hotel rooms. I was Greeted by Samiye !! Her name must translate to BIG BEAUTIFUL SMILE!! She was a VERY Friendly well mannered server and professional young lady. I ordered grilled lamb and it was very fresh and well spiced.. Haycs the main server and overall Hotel assistant was as well very professional and friendly. He started a fire in there fireplace that gave the small dining room a very Cosy feeling and the sweet smell burning wood. The room is VERY QUIET at night even though it’s close to the main road. You will be woken early before Sunrise to the sound of many electric power Fans blowing up the Many Huge Hot Air Balloons which will All Raise right in front of your eyes just across the street from your balcony!! I was excited to start my day hiking to the mineral springs so I passed on the included breakfast with my room charge. I did view the breakfast buffet and it looked wonderful! After a long day of hiking and a Paragliding ride down the Mineral Mountain I relaxed by the swimming pool and was greeted again by Samiye as she wiped down the sun chair I choose and brought me a very cold beverage. As it was Late October the pool was not heated so it was a brisk swim. Again I chose to dine at there hotel restaurant after walking the Main Street and side roads only to see some almost Third World conditions of most the other hotels and restaurants.. Be prepared to be confronted by the many restaurants workers trying to get your business some more aggressive than others ! WALK FAST !! No Eye contact! Hurry back to the ONLY GEM Of Pamukkale!!! Hotel & Restaurant!! P.S. be sure to make some time to visit there longtime Turkish Rug Shop right next door to the restaurant. Fettah said he took over from his grandfather to continue his rug shop and seems to be the most knowledgeable vintage rug shop owner I have ever spoken with! Some day I hope to have the means to purchase a rug. I advise you to not pass up the opportunity to experience the Hul-Tur Hotel & Restaurant and its Professional Friendly Owner & Staff !!!|James...

Read moreAn older property that is immaculately kept, with friendly and professional service. Imperfect, but I highly recommend it nonetheless.
The pros: location right in front of the pools. Employees are all fantastic, immensely helpful and always looking to help when possible. Superbly friendly and even though not all of them could speak English very well, I still could feel their warmth and welcoming attitude. They kept the restaurant open a bit later to see if I wanted food since I checked in late. The rooms had refreshed bathrooms which were great. Parking was easy since they have their own lot out front. Restaurant was wonderful homestyle cooking with fresh ingredients. Breakfast was fairly basic but delicious, no complaints.
The cons: the bedroom (and the entire property) was a bit dated, but clean and pleasing to be around and felt cosy. Our room 15 had 6-7 ants on the floor (not a huge issue, but we did make sure to keep our luggage on the racks). The bathroom vents let in cigarette smoke from the outside dining area, so for an hour or so it was smokey inside the bathroom. I would have liked a better duvet, and the wool throw they provided had a smell from being stored for too long (it didn't smell dirty. But it did smell like the closet or something). In the morning, we were woken up by the sound of the hot air balloon burners (it was beautiful watching them go by, but don't expect a quiet sleep in the morning if you're a shallow sleeper). The rooms also had paper thin walls and you could hear everything going on.
It reads like I had a lot of issues, but those were all small blemishes, or even just comments to be aware of. The temperature was just right I didn't end up needing to use the wool throw (probably why it picked up a scent from being stored). The bathroom brought in smoke early in the morning - I would recommend they disallow smoking immediately adjacent to the premises. And the noise from the balloons going by actually woke me up because I did want to see it.
Summary: Not perfect, but the friendly, welcoming staff, clean and well positioned accommodations make this a recommended hotel. I would come back on future visits to this area. Shout out to the staff again, really kept the place comfortably cosy, clean, and made us feel very welcome. I can see that some guests acted indifferent to it, but I personally appreciated their efforts and want to let them know that they...
