Where can I start. Booked on Expedia successfully. 2 comfort tents for one night. Reached their and they claimed we had no bookings after raising our voices the bookings then appeared. Their are two receptionist a male and female. Female seemed nice. And then the male receptionist had a bedbug crawling on him. 🥴🥴🥴and when I mentioned it he brushed it off himself and then picked up an ant and claimed it was it. I told him dude am not a kid I can tell the difference between a bed bug and an ant.
So he later takes us to check out the rooms. And then he starts shouting at me how I saw an ant and claimed it was a bedbug. We exchanged a few words until he shut up. I later ask him to take us to our rooms coz I wasn't sure if I remembered them. So by mistake I almost went to the wrong room but instead of the receptionist to tell me politely he just started shouting at me about how that wasn't my room. I just shut up. So we put out things in the rooms and then heading out. The bar in charge guy he is nice. We loved his service. The waitress beautiful hearts. But. Receptionist need to be trained on how to use all the applications that they have placed their adverts. And some clientele etiquette. The only clean things in the rooms are the beddings. I give you 100%. And absolutely no bedbugs in the rooms. The dustbins were not emptied the toilet and bathroom were not cleaned. The room my sister slept in had dirty cups. In short the only thing that was cleaned was the bed. And I repeat it was the cleanest thing there and one of the cleanest I've seen in hotels. 3.you should also teach your staff some personal hygiene . Also check on the door locks some of them are such a big hustle to get the padlocks through. The place is beautiful nice breeze of fresh air just needs a bit of polish. Other than that i would definitely love to come back. The breakfast. On point....
Read moreThe best place out of all the places I’ve stayed at in Uganda. 5/5 stars for the service is even too little. Nash is amazing and will put in all the effort to make your stay amazing and to bring people together. James makes the best cappuccinos for breakfast (which is included!) and the rest of the staffs are also veryvery sweet and good. The food from the kitchen was to dream about, especially the fish and vegetables. Bar upstairs, restaurant downstairs and a lot of comfortable places in the garden to chill at.
I’ve stayed at the dorm, which was very comfortable. The most comfy beds I’ve slept in this far (soft mattress and pillow, instead of the rock hard ones you get at other places). Small lockers for your valuables and plenty of space to put your luggage. Hot showers with great water pressure. The dorm I’ve stayed at was close to the road, so you could hear noise from the local bar, people arriving late at night and cars driving by. But that would be the only small “negative” thing I could think about.
10/10. Would love to stay here again...
Read moreSolid 3/5. First, we got the shittiest room. Do not get the twin room with private bathroom. It is literally a shack filled with spiderwebs and dust. We asked to change rooms to those in the same building as the reception. First, we were told the other twins were booked so we just moved into the dorms and forfeitef a refund. Then, were told there was a noshow so we got to move into a triple room. Super cosy room. Got a fan and a new mosquito net for the bed. The food is nothing to brag about. The pies are small and expensive and are just microwaved. The breakfast included is just tea and coffee. If you want sugar, you have to fight some ants for it. Positive is its location. Walking distance to the center of Jinja, Source of the River Nile, and by the river. The Bourbon Bar is down the steps from the hostel right by the river. Also, 2 adorable and cuddle-hungry dogs live there. Would probably not stay there again. Probably better places to stay in Jinja within the same...
