All Friends Grill Bar and Restaurant — Restaurant in Jinja

I love this place; definitely the best steak in Eastern Uganda (I spend a lot of time East of Jinja and a decent steak is nigh on impossible.

My wife is real connoisseur of Ugandan fried fish and their hard fried tilapia is the best she has found in a 100km radius of Jinja. Though I must admit at the moment she has favoured the spicy pan fried pork!

As a family with the kids we are planning to head here or Christmas Dinner.

The serving staff are great; but management will cut their pay if you are not happy with something you order and return. We always paid anyway but avoid all cocktails and the ribs - not good!

A plus if you are avoiding gluten is that their chips/fries and everything we have eaten from the grill has not triggered my normal awful response to gluten! No guarantee fir any coeliac but I tend to react very strongly and very quickly.

So if you are searching for a place and try g to avoid gluten; this is the best place in town 😁 #glutenfree

I am adding to this review after a reply from the establishment. Again this is a positive review but I do want to explain comments.

My wife ordered a pina colada cocktail which was not very good as the coconut and the pineapple juice had separated. We asked for it to be taken away and a beer instead (we would have paid for the cocktail anyway as waiting staff normally get it in the neck in most Ugandan establishments). However a manager came to the table explicitly to tell us that if we didn't pay for it then he would deduct it from the waitress.

This review is meant to be entirely positive yet also informative. The restaurant is great; we are going there this evening for another meal, we were there again three days ago and we are going to book the family in for Christmas day! No doubt we be there several times again before Christmas.

I have been coming to Uganda regularly for over a decade and I live here now. This is my favourite place to eat!

Seriously; if you are in Jinja then visit here and you will not be disappointed. However I stand by comments in the initial review which are only meant to guide and help visitors.

The fish is superb; the steak is superb and the spicy pan fried pork is phenomenal. Great food, great outdoor environment, great serving staff and...

All friends... It's exactly as the name indicates. ● Execellet meal and drink options. You can never go wrong in your choices. ● Tasty, well spiced meals, mouth watering and delicious entries. ● Servers, were exactly as their title indicates. They delivered far and above what their call to duty demands. ● Order and neatness was above expectation. ● The owners were very courteous, friendly and very hospitable. Their smiles as they greeted me was nothing but contagious. ● Their bookings and phone services are on another level.

I always know to go to All Friends Grill Bar and Restaurant if am hungry past 11PM. They have a fast delivering kitchen that stays open late at night. I have never been able to finish the food on my plate even when its always very nice. They serve huge portions and but luckily they are always willing to pack it for you. You will love their milkshakes. They have quite a wide menu with a variety of options. Sometimes the place is a bit crowded but that probably goes to show how famous a friends catch-up spot it is.
