The hotel has a very nice location- just by River Nile and facing the famous Nile Bridge. Its a very beautiful environment especially in the night. The customer care is superb. All staffs were very helpful, kind and attentive to details.
Unfortunately, the meals were very bad. The Chef in the night shift prepared very substandard food. Even the Super Size Fish which we greatly expected was very disappointing. It was too dry and didn't taste fresh at allow. The chicken was equally dry. On the other hand, breakfast was great, variety of fruits, cereals and bread. The juices could be improved.
The rooms are average. Most beds have spong/Foam mattresses that sink in when you sleep hence making the night uncomfortable. Pliz change to better spri g mattresses. The bathroom in Suit 51 needs fixing. Its falling apart. Hotel requires regular fumigation. Quite a lot of ceiling lizards everywhere in the restaurant and in rooms. Having 4 wall lizards in the room was very scaring for children. The TV set in Room 60 is faulty. Despite several requests to set it up, it failed. A touch of paint on most walls is highly needed.
The hotel has a beautiful swimming pool, quite relaxing during a hot day. Overall I give...
Read moreI love this place and if I need to stay in a hotel in Jinja or bring guests then this is my go to place!
The restaurant caters well for both Ugandans and westerners and the breakfasts will always set up anyone for a great day. The guy frying the fresh omelettes with a choice of fillings in the corner is a great feature!
Down by the pool with the bar/restaurant overlooking the Nile is the truly fantastic feature. There is also a steam room, sauna, gym and massage!
The pool is compact but deep and great to cool off but not really big enough a decent swim (considers Mansion Hotel for this); however the poolside bar/restaurant overlooking the Nile and massage/gym/sauna are great. The Indian food is also great and possibly the best curries in town with a lot of indigenous Indian clients partaking!
However it is the location that is unbeatable. Over the years I have taken the most amazing photos of sunsets over the Nile whilst enjoying a good feed and a drink. As regards location this place takes...
Read moreThis hotel takes some getting used to as there are at least three main buildings with the hotel being extensively extended over many years, with a road running between the buildings. The rooms are quiet and clean, with adequate facilities, although slightly dated. The wifi is not great, but this depends on how close to the router you are, the mornings when everyone was awake was shocking. Breakfast was good, make sure you get the chef to cook a Spanish omelette which he/she will gladly prepare for you in the main breakfast restaurant.||The hidden gem is the pool, entertainment, bar and restaurant area which is situated at the end of the road facing the Nile river. The upper bar/ restaurant has a killer view of the Nile and the new bridge; spectacular at sunset. The restaurant food is a mixture of tastes, well prepared and very tasty. This hotels does get busy as the prices are affordable, and many business people tend to use this place for conferences and...
