To our dearest friends - the staff of Kempinski Hotel,
We want to extend our sincerest gratitude and utmost praise for making this place feel like HOME! The location is unbeatable being attached directly to the Dubai Mall which hosts so many forms of entertainment (like the aquarium or art museum) and different ways to dine. Whether you wish to fill your fridge from the grocery store, hit up the food court, or experience the fountain show from an elegant restaurant balcony, all are within walking distance of the Kempinski. No taxi needed!
We start our day each morning at the gym and spa (sauna and steam room) and are greeted with the beautiful smile and kindness of Mariam. If we don't see her, we usually get the one and only Setty, who somehow manages to be everywhere at once and on top of his job without ever making you feel in a rush. You need it? Setty's already got it! Everything here is well-maintained and clean and you have 24 hour access.
Then we normally venture to the serene hotel pool, located conveniently next to Nai restaurant with a great view of the Burj Khalifa. Suranga, Ragesh and Kalvan are always ready with towels in hand and smiles on their faces. It wasn't but a few days before they knew how and where we liked to set up and even the way we preferred our water. It came without asking! We would also like to praise this team for keeping their composure on the busiest days before Ramadan. It's not easy to maintain a relaxed environment when every seat is occupied and kids are being crazy, but this crew rocked it! Extra credit goes to Ragesh for asking me to do this review :)
What was supposed to be a week trip for us turned into nearly a month and the people that work here are the ones who made it hard to leave. No matter how busy it got, there were always smiles on everyone's faces. Even Shameer, Marc and Modi with piled high luggage running non-stop all day made time to chat with us on short elevator rides. And you just can't beat Joseph's daily greeting of the good ole "Hey, Boss!" We are so grateful for ALL of you and we will be back in 2 weeks, but this time not to rent. You all truly made this place feel like HOME so it's time to settle and buy. See you soon friends and thanks...
Read more I stayed at this hotel for three nights, and it turned out to be one of the worst experiences I have ever had.||||The rooms were filthy from the moment we arrived and had clearly not been cleaned since the previous guest. Bed linens were extremely dirty, bathrooms were not cleaned, towels and robes were simply re-hung, and even used slippers were taken from the trash and placed back in the room. The housekeeper "Juli" completely failed to perform her duties.||||When I ordered in-room dining, the table was delivered with an old, dirty tablecloth full of hair, making the food inedible.||||On the last night, I spoke with the duty manager, "Amro", who acknowledged my complaints and offered complimentary airport transportation. He also assured me that the morning manager, whose name I recall as “Chungin,” would meet me in the lobby to explain what actions had been taken regarding my complaint.||||However, when I checked out, the receptionist pointed out that the morning manager was actually the person standing next to her. Shockingly, he refused to even approach me or apologize, showing zero professionalism.||||The airport transfer was another disaster. ||On the day of departure, in the morning I re-confirmed with the front desk that a car would be provided at 12:30 PM, with all details regarding guests and luggage verified. ||||However, no car was ready when I arrived at reception. The staff appeared confused and uncoordinated, leaving our bags unattended outside.||||After waiting over 45 minutes, a small car finally arrived that could not fit four passengers with luggage. When I raised the issue, an employee named "Khaji" responded with extreme rudeness, saying we should accept it or remove our bags to “make more space.” His behavior was rude and completely unacceptable.||||Kempinski Hotels must urgently reconsider the staff they employ, particularly those in supervisory roles, as they clearly lack responsibility, professionalism, and the most basic standards...
Read moreI have been staying at this hotel since it was address dubai mall. Unfortunately the change in ownership to Kempinski has lowered the quality of service. A number of things have changed
One big change is lack of the sports channels that show any of the matches such as bein sport / ssc. Secondly the amenities have started disappearing from rooms and now expected to order them. Third/ the food was extremely good during address days, the biryani dish has completely changed flavor. Might seem like a small issue but for a regular customer it makes a difference.
Fourth the transportation in and out with the dodgy limo drivers is an issue, i rode with one from the hotel who gave me an app to scan and pay via. It ended up being a scam platform to access data.
Fifth the bathrooms need an upgrade, they barely flush snd always have issues
Sixth the acs also need maintenance. Hot air was coming out at 19 degrees
Service has gone down hill, there is a receptionist named Ayman, have had two check ins with him and it has always been extremely unpleasant. This time i came and unfortunately my booking was scheduled for another time (i came earlier) so i asked him what the daily rate was and he said the lowest price was 3600 dirhams per day which i thought was ridiculous, i got online and booked for 1800 on booking. Since the last time he always tried to upsell in a very wrong manner and instead of correcting his mistake he just smiles in a very canny manner.
The only thing that remains positive in hotel is nai lounge. Service/ food remains good and excellent.
Please note that I was staying at this hotel atleast once every two weeks when it was address. My experience with Ayman will never allow me to think of...
