Its one of the best ice rinks I have had the pleasure of skating on. The quality of the ice surface is next to none, perhaps because they resurface every after session. And the snow-fall is an added bonus. It really is magical, even though it only falls on a small portion of the rink. And its very well-lit, so your pictures will always be perfect! So don’t fall for the trap of the overpriced picture taking non-sense they offer. Your smartphone’s camera is capable of taking equally good pictures. Even the quality of the rental skates and the rental figure skates were also good. Though the free socks are very slippery inside your skates, but what do you expect from free stuff? The toilets are clean, though there is a weird smell. 😉 Motion sensor faucets and soap dispensers abound, and there is always napkins. There are dedicated changing booths as well. And the free lockers are also a plus. Though I must add that there aren’t enough seats to sit on while putting on your skates. The bleacher seats though, let’s just say you sanitize them first before you sit on them.

Its a bit pricey though, compared to another ice rink in Oud Metha that only charges 40 aed for a 2-hour skating session. And the sessions here only last 1.5 hours for 110 aed. I would advise against the DJ nights on weekend evenings. The extra you pay for this session is, in my opinion, not worth it. I really didn’t like the songs played. And I think the playlist is recycled. Its much better to just pop in your noise-cancelling headphones and listen to your own jam as you glide through the ice. But if you have the pennies to spare, then 125 aed shouldn’t be too much for you.

A word of warning, there are a lot of aggressive free skaters sharing the rink with you, so keep your distance a bit. They like cornering other skaters and skate too close to others, which is not safe. I have been injured twice by two freeskaters who collided with me from behind. And to figure skaters who are thinking of practicing their routine in this rink, I would advise you to go during non-peak hours, i.e. in the morning. You will utterly have no space to move about during peak hours. It is...
