A Memorable Stay at Mercure Dubai, Deira ... Definitely Reccommendable ... Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️My recent stay at Mercure Dubai, Deira was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality by Mr.Rafay that set the tone for the entire experience... As most properties do, a Security deposit of 100AED has to be done and the city taxes has to be paid in AED cash , whhich is aaprox 10AED/Day...The hotel's location in the vibrant Deira district , Near to the Corniche , in the newly devoloping Enrichment Deira project made exploring the city a breeze. With easy access to GoldSouk Metro(1 Min Walk) shopping centers, cultural landmarks, and dining options, I felt truly immersed in the heart of Dubai's bustling atmosphere. The room itself was spacious, elegantly furnished, and impeccably clean, providing a comfortable retreat after a day of sightseeing. One thing to note down was the Water Purifier provided in the room which is not seen in much places . The plush bedding ensured a restful night's sleep, while the stunning views of the city skyline added an extra touch of luxury. One of the highlights of my stay was the culinary experience at the hotel's restaurants. From indulging in delicious international cuisine at The Avenue to savoring authentic Arabic flavors at The Med, every meal was a delight for the senses. The roof top Infinity Pool & Gym offered are of top notch experience... Pool timings are 8am-8pm and has a bar too... spending a relaxed evening at the pool with some cocktails is also a very relaxing experience...The staff at Mercure Dubai, Deira deserve special commendation for their professionalism and attentiveness. Mehtab & Irene has my special heart for assisting during the day hours. Whether it was arranging transportation, providing local recommendations, or simply offering a friendly smile, they went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was memorable.Overall, I can wholeheartedly recommend Mercure Dubai, Deira to anyone looking for a top-notch hotel experience in Dubai. Whether you're visiting for business or leisure, this hotel truly stands out for its exceptional service, prime location, and unparalleled comfort.-...
Read moreVery nice price/quality ratio at this Mercure hotel. ||The good: great location right by the Gold Souk metro (green line) and the rooftop pool, good bed and shower and of course the lovely staff. From reception to pool and the restaurants, everyone is so nice and friendly. Especially Janat at the Farmstead restaurant is a gem. As I recently had surgery I have strict requirements when it comes to eating and drinking, and she was absolutely amazing helping me. Thank you Janat!!!|Another positive is that the loyalty recognition is mostly well done. Upgrade given based on availability (which it was in my case, welcome drinks and surprisingly for a Mercure this hotel has lounge benefits for platinum and higher statuses). The lounge benefits are an afternoon tea served in the restaurant or the terrace, and the evening drink and canapés are served on the rooftop lounge/bar. Amazing, that this is being offered by a 3* Mercure is totally unexpected and such a nice surprise. ||Some small downsides as nobody is perfect: There is outside noise coming in, the soundproofing on the outside walls/windows could’ve been better as you clearly hear the planes. No noise coming though from neighbors though. |The hotel could maybe hire an extra person for the pool bar, it’s manned by a single person and therefore at times very slow (but they are super friendly and I don’t blame them, I think this is a hotel management decision). |One thing missing from the loyalty benefits was the welcome amenity in the room. Normally hotels leave a small gift, last time I visited this hotel I had received it, but not this time even after reminding a few times. Eventually I mentioned there’s no more need to provide it as I had already eaten and drank enough and couldn’t fit in anything before check-out should the gift have...
Read moreI just want to take a moment to share what a horrendous experience I had in this hotel. The hotel manager on the shift is named Mondher.please to all guests who are planning a stay at this hotel be aware as I would not want anyone to experience this especially coming from a manager which was so unprofessional. Disrespectful and Unprofessional Management I had a deeply unpleasant experience with the manager on shift during my visit. The manager was rude and made up rules and policies on the spot, constantly changing his words when I asked to see a valid policy. When I requested clarification, he became increasingly hostile, and at one point, one of his colleagues had to intervene to control his temper.the colleague had to hold him back as if he had the need to attack and I did get scared at this point as how is a manger being held back by another employee due to his temper.
To make matters worse, the manager repeatedly said, "This hotel is not your home." I politely asked him not to use that phrase, as it affects me emotionally, but he continued to disregard my request. It was a truly disheartening and uncomfortable situation that made my time at the hotel stressful.
Such behavior is completely unprofessional and unacceptable, and I hope the management takes this seriously to ensure that future guests and employees are treated with the respect they deserve.
