We liked our stay at the hotel. The room was nice, clean and spacious; staff very friendly and accommodating. Hotel is located in workers neighbourhood, a 5 minute walk between two metro stations, and a bit of a ride to major points of interest.
I deduct half a point rating for the fact that neither of my two messages (one through Check24 booking platform and another direct to the hotels email address) regarding an earlier check-in were answered. Fortunately at arrival we were allowed to check-in earlier for an additional payment of AED200 which seemed very fair. But the fact that we were not informed, could not plan in advance and had to take a gamble was not good.
Also I would deduct a point for the way my another request was handled. After an extensive research of tons of hotel options I decided to book a 10 night stay at Park Regis, mainly because of good value for money, very good reviews and roof top swimming pool with stunning views. Roof-top pool and bar of Regis Kin is a center piece of hotels description and was a selling point for me. I was ready to pay a little premium for it. Unfortunately we had a very bad luck with the weather: on some days it was windy, on some - it rained. In short, out of 7 times we tried to go to the roof-top swimming pool and bar, 5 times it was closed. Hopefully you can understand our chagrin, especially considering there is absolutely no information on the website about the possible closure of these amenities. I fully understand that hotel is not responsible for the weather but it is responsible that a customer feels he gets a good value for the money he paid. Since the pool was closed on many occasions, it is not unreasonable for a customer not to be satisfied. As I talked to the top manager and asked if there is anything she is willing to do to make up for the fact that we could not use the well advertised amenities, there was absolutely no sign of understanding of my dissatisfaction and no effort made to make up for it. There were standard answers that a hotel is not responsible for the weather and there is nothing she could do about it. To my question why there is no information warning the potential hotel that the pool can be closed she said the pool closes very very rarely and only as an exception. So I guess this exception happened at least 5 times during 10 days and she wasn't ready make things good for the hotel guest. Interestingly enough, 20 minutes after my conversation with a manager, the swimming pool got opened and there were absolutely no wind at the pool area. That makes one wonder whether the pool area could have been opened on the prior days also.
I asked the manager if there was construction site with all the noise and disturbance next to the hotel (for which the hotel is also not responsible), would the rooms cost the same as on the other side of the hotel. She said, yes. I think she needs an advanced training, lol :)
In short, I felt customer service for that particular issue was way below what a 5 star hotel should provide and left with a feeling that profit was a higher priority for the manager than customer's satisfaction.
Otherwise, like I said very nice hotel, deserves all the positive ratings but also deserves a better top manager.

After 15 - 20 mins I came back to confirm about d payment confirmation n get d room allotment done. The receptionist was prompt in handing over d room keys ( 501) even before me asking him. Along wit tat I made a tax payment of 100 AED for which neither did I get any receipt nor did the receptionist inform tat it will be added in d final bill or will give a receipt at tat time !!
At d time of checking in I told the reception person very specifically to give me a good room coz d duration of stay is for 5 nights ( saw d reviews after booking ) where many have mentioned about d room conditions and facilities.
Just as I entered d room 501, I was shocked to see tat d TV is very old n audio was not working also. The bed covers had holes all thru them & the sofa cushion threads were literally coming out !! The furnishings are also very old n have bad marks on them !!
So it's looks like they are still making money based on d brand name of the hotel and not for the services or experience they should be providing to d customers !!

We the travelers come here from around d world hoping for a pleasant n happy memories filled trip, but this will definitely be bad for all those involved.
I got a call from receptionist Mr. Amal and waiting for almost 30 - 45 minutes they have changed my room from 501 to 1504. I was informed tat they would change it to a deluxe room but got d same room but on a different floor and only slightly better than d old one.
The room AC is a dummy, it's only a centralised AC and doesn't change temperatures to our liking. It remained stationery @23 Degrees even after their technician doing a cosmetic job of changing d wall remote and AC filter.
Their room fridge doesn't even chill water and even beer cans to d required temperature also, it is a junk.
They Park Regis Kris Kin have to update the room atmosphere and their old TV to smart TV's and wifi setup n support which many of the small hotels compared to u offer strong wifi set up n internet abled TVs n some better room atmosphere. I just stayed in Four seasons by Sheraton downtown for 2 nights before trying to upgrade n ending up here !!

Read moreI have stayed at this hotel on 3 occasions and most recently spent 11 nights on 2 stays in the span of 3 weeks. I am a Staywell Rewards Gold and Marriott/SPG Platinum member and have stayed in 10 hotels in Dubai. There is a paucity of good hotels around Burjuman and this became a default option. Needless to say I will never stay here again nor would I recommend it. This is a good hotel if you like large rooms and nothing else. There are issues around poor management, poor service, badly maintained swimming pool and overcrowding and mania at breakfast. This hotel has the worst service among all hotels I have stayed at in Dubai and globally.
The GM and front desk manager at check-in are not helpful. On both of my recent check-ins, the rooms were not ready despite my checking in after 5pm. On most occasions the front desk staff have not been helpful with the exception of Rommel. They fail to create order.
The rooms are large and spacious, however, some of the appointments are off kilter. The toilet seat was not properly fixed, the shower door leaked water because it did not close properly and two of the lights had blown out. On my most recent stay of 6 nights, I had overbooked by 1 night and asked to check out a day early. But I was charged for the extra day despite having spent 11 nights in the previous weeks. There is no flexbility nor reward for loyalty. This is absolutely inexcusable. If you are a business traveler, this is not the hotel for you. The lobby is noisy and business center facilities are mediocre. At breakfast, its like being in a zoo with a bunch of wild animals. Its hard to blame the understaffed folks at the restaurant but there need to be more people added.
For the rooms that face north, there is major construction noise, although this is an issue in many parts of Dubai so am willing to forgive that. The rooftop swimming pool is not cleaned properly. On several occasions I had white gunk in my ears and nose and have no idea where that came from. The locker room is small and filthy, completely unhygienic. The gym closes early and often one of the treadmills does not work. The rooms are large and are cleaned well. This is the one good aspect.
This hotel is for tourists that want large rooms and can fill them with people. The hotel is completely lacking in class and quality service.
