Amazing ambience, great view, good food and excellent service is how I wish to sum up this place. We booked a table with a view and it was one of their perfect seating. We went on a weekday for dinner and the restaurant was not busy, we were busy taking pictures waiting for our food to be served. We ordered for virgin mojito and virgin pina colada no comments on that it was normal. For starters we ordered Aloo Tikki, Katti Roll, Assorted Chinese Dumplings.Aloo Tikki - Perfectly crispy on the out and soft inside.Katti Roll - Roti coacted with eggs and filling was tandoori chicken with peppers Assorted Chinese Dumplings - Veg, Prawns and chicken steamed dumplings.Main course we ordered Peking duck, Daging Bakar Utara, Chinese Black Pepper Prawns with sun dried pineapple, Tandoori Classic and Paneer Tikka, Naan, Veg Fried Rice.Peking duck - Hot pancakes were served with cut slices of duck, cucumber strips, sprouts and hoisin sauce. I was trying duck for the first time and I didn't quite like the taste of it, but my friends enjoyed it.Daging Bakar Utara - Grilled Tenderloin, we ordered it well done.I don't eat beef either so no comments on that.Chinese Black Pepper Prawns with Sun-dried Pineapple - This dish was amazing the serve four tiger prawns in one serving. Tried their Saturday Themed Night Buffet called Per Mare Per Terram
Our Saturday night at Per Mare Per Terram was nothing short of spectacular. The name, meaning “by sea, by land,” perfectly reflects the buffet’s abundant offerings. The seafood selection alone was outstanding, featuring everything from lobster, shrimp, crabs, and squid to an entire fresh seafood station where you can handpick your selection and have the chef cook it to you and choose your sauces! This personalized touch made the experience even more special.
In addition to the fresh seafood, there was a hot kitchen filled with pre-prepared dishes, including creamy seafood, Tom yum soup, Seafood stew annd many many more options that were simply delicious. The variety didn’t stop there; they also had a wide selection of meats, soups, and sushi, truly offering something for everyone.
To top it all off, the location on the 19th floor provided breathtaking views of Dubai, with the Dubai Frame, Burj Khalifa, and the bustling city streets in full view. It’s the perfect setting to enjoy a fantastic meal. The value is unbeatable at AED 111 per person or AED 265 for three people.
The service was equally impressive, with the staff going above and beyond. Special thanks to Elvira for her warm hospitality and for showing us around. We highly recommend Per Mare Per Terram for a memorable dining experience with family...
Read moreI had made a dinner reservation for celebrating my wife’s birthday. It was a multi-stage disappointing experience with the restaurant making it one of the worst memories for a special occasion. Please don’t visit on your special occasions, you’re bound to scar for a long time. Firstly, I had made a reservation through google 3 days in advance to know that the reservation wasn’t confirmed by the restaurant. On the day, I called to double check and thankfully was able to confirm the view. We were served by Minal, who was trying hard to contribute to the disastrous experience. She didn’t know the menu well, wasn’t able to recommend anything properly. She goofed up the bill and charged us for a side order which was included in the kid’s menu (which she rectified later but kept us waiting for another 15 minutes). She was constantly interrupting and checking if we would need the soup and the starters together and kept our 2-year-old siting hungry at the table. The food was a pure blunder with the only taste of oil in everything. Excessive oil in the pizza which caused my kid to vomit while leaving the premises. Our hands were greasy eating the schezwan chicken with absolutely no taste.
We weren’t surprised to see the whole restaurant empty on Christmas eve but got a taste of bad food and bad service. There are much better options available in the area unless you want to head for disappointment...
