Our stay at Rolla Residence Hotel Apartment in Dubai from October 9th to 16th, 2024, was nothing short of a nightmare. I was traveling with my wife and 9-year-old son, and despite being charged extra for the child, we were subjected to some of the worst service I have ever experienced at any hotel. Here’s why you should steer clear of this place:||1. Unbelievable Towel Policy|The hotel refused to provide more than two towels per day for our room. Apparently, this is their "policy." I have never heard of such a ridiculous rule. When I insisted on an extra towel, the service personnel did provide one, only for the service manager, Siraj, to start shouting at his junior staff right in front of me. He said, "Why are you giving the guest an extra towel? Deny him, let the guest figure out what to do, and stop changing their towels at all. For all I care, they can use the same damp towel every day till they stay with us." This kind of attitude towards paying guests is outrageous and unacceptable. It made us feel as if we were begging for basic amenities.|2. One Key Card Per Room|Only one access key card per room is allowed, which was incredibly inconvenient for our family. Again, this was justified as "hotel policy." What kind of establishment denies guests the basic convenience of an extra key card?|3. Water Bottle Rationing|We were provided only two half-liter bottles of water per room, and that too only once during our entire 7-day stay. This level of cost-cutting is absurd, and it’s clear the hotel has no regard for guest comfort.|4. Pathetic Extra Bed|My friend took an extra bed for his room, and it was an utter joke. The mattress was barely 1-2 inches thick and was placed on a frame with metal bars spaced about a foot apart, making for an excruciatingly uncomfortable sleep. It's worse than a low-cost hospital bed. Of course, this too was "as per hotel policy." Expect back pain if you end up trying to sleep on it.|5. Conflicting Information About Breakfast Services|I was informed by an employee on October 10th that the hotel had a live breakfast counter (included in our package) available on Sundays. However, when I checked again on October 13th, I was told there is no such system. Inconsistency and misleading information are rampant here.|6. Degrading Buffet Quality|On October 14th, 1-2 dishes disappeared from the breakfast buffet. It seems the hotel is shamelessly cutting corners to save costs, further diminishing an already subpar experience.|7. Ridiculous Cutlery Policy|We were given basic cutlery to use in the room, but when we expected the hotel to clean it, we were told that washing cutlery was not their responsibility. The lack of basic services and responsibility is appalling.||Rolla Residence Hotel Apartment seems more interested in penny-pinching than providing a pleasant stay for its guests. They go to extreme lengths to cut costs and make customers feel like beggars, even after we’ve paid for a so-called "service." I have never felt so disrespected and unwelcomed in a hotel. Every excuse seems to be backed up by their infamous "hotel policy," which seems to be an all-encompassing term to justify their poor service and penny-pinching.||DO NOT STAY HERE unless you want to be treated as an inconvenience rather than a paying guest. This place is a disgrace to hospitality, and I would never recommend it to anyone. Spend your money elsewhere, where you’ll be treated with the respect and dignity that a...
Read moreHotel staff needs to improve on how they treat their so called guests because they don't care at all. They are not helping in nature. They give you charges for every single request you made.
Even you can't pack some milk for babies that is offered in so called complementary breakfast. They have extra charge for breakfast anyways so it's not complementary. They serve same breakfast every day with 90% same dishes. They also rudely deny filling water bottle for kids at the dining area.
Now abot the hotel.
Overall: Its so old and under maintained hotel except for the vip area all the rooms are bad. There is too dim light or say no light in passage or in the room its too difficult to read books or use laptop in that much dim light.
Bedroom: Bed are okay but i prefered to have a clen and smaller room and bath area then this hall and bedroom that is dirty outdated and dark.
Tv: They have tv which offers about 8 channels. Tv is not a big problem.
Bathroom: They offer hair dryer which is good but bathroom is so old and when you use bath tub tiles and cement come to fall in the tub. So difficult to use. There is no hot water supply. Or water is not hot enough as per my liking.
Air Condition: Ac is good but when you turn on heater nothing happens. At the time of winter the room is so cold because of no light or sunlight. It becomes too difficult to sleep on bed at times.
Furniture: I don't care about sofa and table that much but they all needs cleaning. Sofa are so smelly that you couldn't sit on it. It smells like wood from rain forest.
Bars: I think bar area is also for vips so bar is good as it has to be.
Tarrace: Totally un maintained 20% of the tarrace longue was still good but it's not good enough. If you look at the water inside the pool it looks like it hasn't been cleaned for weeks so much dirt and particles in the pool you wouldn't consider touching the water inside it
Wifi: There is no such thing as free wifi Unless you want to sit in lobby to use it for mails and messages no call or video call works with this speed. But no free wifi in rooms.
Parking: No free parking bit thats okay in most cases. You could pay and park at the parking behind the hotel.
If you really want to have a good hospitality experience, this isn't place for you. They dont care. If you like bigger rooms and cheaper rates you can pree book this hotel. Better yo go for a hotel which offers good Room service and have a welcoming staff. Size of the room and aminities really don't matter if everyone in the staff is goig to...

-COCKROACHES in the rooms: Room 709 was full of cockroaches - on the sofa, on the wall, in the closet. Pictures were shown to the duty manager, Mr. Mohamed but he didn't seem to be surprised. He came to my room and took pictures of insects himself. Pictures are attached to my google review. Moved to another room(729), tried to sleep and saw a cockroach on the pillow. Yet another room with exactly the same cockroach infested problem - very disgusting and simply unacceptable. It means they are everywhere! I decided to check out in the middle of the night to find a safe and clean place to stay.
-SAFETY: There are a few clubs in the hotel: Live Asian Entertainment, Haveli - The Indian Club on 1st floor, Mezban - Pakistani Night Club on 1st floor and Topaz - The Indian Club on the rooftop. Access to the floors of the hotel and the nightclubs is not monitored. Guests of the clubs can stop at any floor and wander around the hotel. Opening the door to my room, two men approached me and started asking questions, I was terrified. I saw many men at the check in with their “lady friends" and overheard them trying to negotiate to avoid paying the “guests" charge. It creates a very unwelcoming and unsafe environment for other guests and reflects poorly on hotels in Dubai, which has excellent reputation. The impression is this hotel is rented by the “hour” after visiting the nightclub.
-NOISE: Loud music from the clubs is unbearable and penetrates through the thin walls into the rooms. Good luck in getting some rest - Reception informed the club closes at 4am.
-UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF: I informed the night manager about cockroaches in the 2nd room and would need an immediate check out and a full refund due to the unhealthy condition of the hotel whereby one cannot expect to stay in such atrocious conditions. Ms. Kiran - the reservation manager "generously" gifted me a complimentary night in the cockroach infested hotel which I politely declined. She refused the refund, even partially and suggested I should have stayed in the hotel and moved to another room. I made it clear that if cockroaches were in both rooms, it’s almost a guarantee they would be in other rooms and I'm not willing to find out, plus I needed to rest and cannot keep moving rooms all night. When I requested the manager’s e-mail Ms.Kiran refused, she became rude and finished the...
