My wife and I wanted to dine out, so we decided to visit Nalukettu at Dubai Grand by Fortune, Qusais. We had visited the restaurant 2 years ago, so we decided to revisit the place This time, the experience was really bad. As soon as I sat down, I noticed a couple of mosquitoes hovering around our table and I got a mosquito bite as a welcome greeting! The seat fabric looked as though it hadn't been cleaned for months (stains all over the fabric). We were informed (by the serving attendant) that it was a Buffet night. The salads (cucumber and carrots) were really dry. The chicken 65 barely had any flavor. Fried rice was way too oily and the egg noodles was soggy. The only saving grace was the Kottayam fish curry and Vellappam. We quickly finished our dinner and settled the bill. Oh, I must add that there was a birthday party going on with loud blaring music, which made the whole experience forgettable I won't be visiting this place in the future. Avoidable!

In the past years I used to go to nalukettu for onam. There sadhya used to be the bomb. We expected the same this year. We didn’t know that the management had changed. The hotel had taken over nalukettu. Before the service used to be the best. The quantity is very less this time. They don’t give you all the things that was mentioned in the leaflet, we have to ask them for every single curry. We asked for rasam and they gave it after 10 mins. The rasam was disgusting, there was no salt and it tasted bland. The first time they gave Sambar it was ok,the second time it was very watery. The service is very bad. There were a lot of ppl so they probably couldn’t manage everything at once. We also asked for paisam but they guy never returned. Never expected smthg like this from nalukettu…I usually don’t like giving negative reviews.

Had been to this place yesterday. The service was very bad. This was not my first visit...had been to this place several times and all the time had the same worst experience w.r.t service. We ordered for normal meals and the wait time was almost one hour....there were not many people as it was eid and also due to covid protocols the crowd was very lass. The serving lady was tooooo arrogant to even reply or serve !!! The food was atrocious....and the fried fish was definitely a stale one!!!! Since they serve alcohol there, many do not actually get the true taste of the food served here and so they get away with bad quality termed as good !!!! WILL NEVER GO BACK....and DEFINETLY NOT A TRY !!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Nalukettu restaurant that offers a traditional Kerala buffet, and I must say that the experience left an indelible impression on my taste buds. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was enveloped by an aura of warmth and authenticity that perfectly complemented the exquisite flavors of Kerala cuisine.

The restaurant's ambience effortlessly transported me to the picturesque backwaters of Kerala. The interior decor featured elements reminiscent of traditional Kerala architecture, with ornate wooden carvings and intricate artwork adorning the walls. The soft, warm lighting and comfortable seating arrangements enhanced the overall inviting atmosphere. The attention to detail in recreating the cultural essence of Kerala was truly commendable and added an extra layer of charm to the dining experience.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the food. The buffet spread showcased an extensive selection of authentic Kerala delicacies, each one a culinary masterpiece in its own right. The aroma of freshly ground spices wafted through the air, tantalizing my senses and building anticipation for the feast that awaited me.

The variety of dishes available was truly astounding. From the staple appam and stew to the flavourful fish fry, each dish showcased the rich culinary heritage of Kerala. The use of local, seasonal ingredients was evident in the vibrant colors and robust flavors that permeated every bite. The dishes struck a perfect balance between spicy, tangy, and savory, leaving me craving for more with each passing course.

The restaurant's staff played a significant role in making the dining experience truly memorable. Their warm hospitality and genuine enthusiasm to share their knowledge of the cuisine added a personal touch to the overall experience. The waitstaff were attentive, ensuring that every need was catered to, while also providing recommendations and suggestions based on individual preferences. Their passion for the cuisine was infectious and further heightened my appreciation for the culinary delights of Kerala.

In addition to the delectable food and impeccable service, the restaurant also paid attention to the small details that make a difference. The table settings were elegant, and the cutlery and crockery were of high quality, further enhancing the overall dining experience. The ambience was enhanced by soft background music that seamlessly blended with the surroundings, creating a soothing and relaxed atmosphere.

Overall, my experience at Nalukettu Restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. The delectable food, attentive staff, and inviting ambience all combined to create a truly memorable dining experience. Whether you are a connoisseur of Kerala cuisine or simply someone looking to explore new flavors, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. It provides an authentic taste of Kerala in a setting that celebrates the culture and culinary heritage of this beautiful region. I cannot recommend it...

Nalukettu Restaurant, offers a truly immersive experience into the rich tapestry of South Indian cuisine, particularly the traditional flavors of Kerala. During my recent visit, I had the pleasure of delving into a sumptuous spread of authentic Kerala dishes, and I must say, it was a gastronomic journey worth savoring.

Ambiance (★★★★☆): The restaurant's traditional Nalukettu architecture, with its wooden beams, sloping roofs, and lush green surroundings, immediately transports you to a bygone era. The warm, rustic ambiance provides a genuine feel of Kerala's cultural heritage. It's a perfect setting for an immersive culinary experience.

Service (★★★★☆): The staff at Nalukettu are attentive and knowledgeable, offering recommendations and explanations of the dishes for those unfamiliar with Kerala cuisine. Their warm hospitality adds to the overall dining experience.

Food (★★★★☆): Now, let's get to the heart of the matter: the food. Nalukettu truly excels in presenting Kerala's traditional flavors. Here are some of the highlights of my culinary journey:

Appam and Stew: The appam, with its crispy edges and soft center, paired with a mild and creamy stew, was a delightful start to the meal. It's a must-try combination that showcases the essence of Kerala cuisine.

Karimeen Pollichathu: The fish lover in me rejoiced with the Karimeen Pollichathu, a delectable dish made with pearl spot fish, marinated in a rich blend of spices and wrapped in banana leaves before being grilled to perfection. The smoky aroma and the burst of flavors were unforgettable.

Avial: The Avial, a medley of vegetables in a coconut-based sauce, was a comforting and nourishing dish. It's a testament to Kerala's love for coconut and the harmonious blending of diverse vegetables.

Biriyani: The Kerala-style biryani was a revelation. Fragrant rice, succulent pieces of meat, and a balanced blend of spices made it a memorable dish.

Payasam: No Kerala meal is complete without Payasam. The dessert was a sweet, creamy conclusion to the meal, with the delicate flavor of cardamom lingering on the palate.

Price (★★★★☆): The pricing is reasonable considering the quality and authenticity of the food. While it's not a budget eatery, the experience is well worth the cost, especially for those looking to explore traditional Kerala cuisine.

In conclusion, Nalukettu Restaurant offers a truly immersive experience into Kerala's culinary heritage. The restaurant's traditional ambiance, warm service, and delicious traditional dishes make it a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic taste of Kerala. If you're a food enthusiast with a penchant for rich, spicy, and aromatic dishes, Nalukettu won't disappoint. My experience was a delightful foray into the heart of Kerala's traditional flavors, and I left with a satisfied and...

I can surely vouch for some of their dishes as a truly authentic Keralite dish, like Meen Pollichathu (fish baked in a leaf), mutton and chicken stew, Tapioca with beef, etc. But 2 thing's takes away 2 stars from my rating - 1) the upholstery- we pay premium money when we go to these restaurants. We expect the upholstery to be clean. It's never clean there, especially this is visible on the family area. There's strains of fallen good and gravy on the sofa seats, which makes the experience a little unappetizing, especially for those crowds who come in for a premium experience. But this restaurant is lucky. Most of them who visit here don't know what's premium services. They just come there to enjoy those very good servings and click some pics and put it on Facebook. 2) The attitude of some of the staff- If it's not your day, you will be served by a bunch of staff who'll have a smile for the sake of hospitality, but ask them some extra services, you can directly hear a rude 'No'. I can write a lot more since I do go there often, but I don't want to really bring down a review due to a few bad apples. Thr place is worth a visit for some authentic Kerala food,...
