Aloft is a fairly new but different addition in to hotels In Birmingham. It’s simple yet very stylish and has a bit of a edge to it. From the minute I entered the hotel had a warm and welcoming feeling. The deco in the lobby was very chic. Checking in was a easy quick and process. After checking in when I first tried to enter my room the door would not open so I had to call them with my mobile and request assistance. A member of staff came very quickly and sorted the problem. They informed me that because the doors are fairly new, they need to pushed to close in order to open. I did have trouble every time I wanted to enter my room. The room are exactly how they look in the pictures; very stylish, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was decent, quiet a bit of variety, food properly covered. The restaurant is beautiful. Love the deco & ambiance. Customer service is great at the face of it as the staff are very welcoming, professional and polite but when it comes guest experience with enquires and request no one gets back to you. After making a booking online I called to confirm my reservation and I enquired about late checkout. I was informed, the cost of late checkout would be £5 per hour until 4 pm, then £10 per hour until 6 pm. I spoke at least 3 staff over the my two night stay who said they would get back to me but I never received a response. I called on the morning of the stay spoke to a lady about late checkout till 4 but was told fully booked and she will look into it and get back to me. She not call back. At the time of checking, I again requested the late checkout, one of the ladies at the reception told me the same thing fully booked but will investigate about my query and get back to me about the morning call. Finally spoke to Lucy who sorted out the late checkout but at first said fully booked but when I pointed out there was availability online. I thought she finally sorted it but when checking out the reception the staff had no clue that I was still in the room till 4 pm and had not checked out at the checkout time as they were not informed about my late check out. This did not create any inconvenience to me but it was slightly alarming that the staff are very unaware certain situations and lack communication between with colleagues and customers. There is No free Parking at the hotel. It would have been a five star stay if my experience with the query I made was dealt properly. Overall it was a decent stay and I would recommend...

Where do I start, background - we booked through Secret Escapes.

Everything seemed amazing when we walked through the lobby, the check in was great, no complaints.

Our room had a lovely, massive TV. However, we were given an accessibility room which was not what we booked which meant our bathroom was a wet room, with no bathtub to have the soak we had planned.

However, the most NOISEST hotels I've ever stayed in. At 1am, my husband hears a strange noise, we both wake up, put the lights on. My husband went to check what the issue was through our peep hole and saw a drunk woman trying to gain access to our room, thudding our door. He decided to see if the woman was ok out of natural care for another human being, when he opened the door to tell her she had the wrong room, she pushed her way into our room. My husband had to push her back out (not what we intended) as she became very aggressive. She then proceeded to bang our door down with all her force for twenty minutes. The whole episode lasted about 45 minutes.

I tried calling reception several times for security, however there was no answer. I finally managed to get through with no help from their own phone within the room (they don't say which number to call for reception). Finally security managed to get through, all night we couldn't sleep due to the violent ordeal we went through. I was already suffering from PTSD from another traumatic event to which this added to. Not what we needed when my husband was trying to give me a relaxing stay away.

Following all of this at 4am a bunch of lads walk into the room next door making an inexcusable amount of noise.

Advice: please ensure all guests that are under the influence of alcohol and out of their heads are escorted to their rooms to ensure the safety of other guests. Please make sure each room has a clear call description to speak to reception when necessary. Please ensure your security is present when needed (especially on big weekends like the one we experienced across Halloween) because we were woken by an intruder trying to access our own...

Aloft Birmingham Eastside is a modern, vibrant hotel that perfectly blends comfort, style, and convenience. Located in the heart of Birmingham’s Eastside district, it is within walking distance of key attractions such as the Bullring, Digbeth, and the city’s cultural hubs. The hotel’s exterior and lobby reflect a sleek, contemporary design with bold colors, plenty of communal seating, and a lively atmosphere that immediately feels welcoming.

Rooms are thoughtfully designed, featuring plush beds, floor-to-ceiling windows, Nespresso machines, fast Wi-Fi, and smart lighting. The “Urban King” rooms are particularly impressive, offering ample space, modern furnishings, and tasteful décor accented with local artwork. Guests consistently praise the comfort of the beds and the cleanliness of the rooms, making it ideal for both business and leisure stays.

The hotel’s amenities are equally appealing. The Tempo! restaurant serves a variety of dishes in a casual, upbeat setting, while the Re:Fuel snack station is perfect for a quick bite or coffee on the go. There’s also a small gym for those looking to keep active during their stay. Staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring smooth check-in and helpful recommendations throughout your visit.

Overall, Aloft Birmingham Eastside offers a stylish, convenient, and comfortable stay. It is perfect for travelers seeking modern design, easy access to city attractions, and reliable...

Aloft Eastside Birmingham Hotel is a good choice for a comfortable stay in a quiet area of the city. The hotel is conveniently situated close to the Bullring Shopping Centre, making it ideal for shopping trips or exploring Birmingham. We stayed in a Family Room, which was spacious and well-equipped with everything you would need for a comfortable stay, including a hair dryer, iron and ironing board, kettle, fridge, safe, and a large smart TV. Housekeeping was done daily, ensuring the room was always fresh and tidy. The bathroom was particularly noteworthy—large, modern, and seemingly recently refurbished. The power shower was excellent, providing a refreshing start to the day. However, while the bathroom was spacious, a bath would have been a great to have. The hotel’s main entrance and overall presentation was great, reflecting a high standard of maintenance and style. There were, however, a couple of aspects that could be improved to make it a five-star experience. Parking was limited, and while free parking is available, it’s restricted to specific times—weekdays from 7:30pm to 8:00am and all day Sunday. Additionally, while the bed was comfortable, a firmer or orthopedic mattress would have been preferred. Despite these minor points, the overall experience was positive. If you’re looking for a well-located, modern hotel with great amenities, Aloft Eastside Birmingham is a solid choice. Highly recommended!

I recently stayed at this hotel and would HIGHLY recommend it! It's a new, modern hotel, with lovely staff and cosy rooms. I had tea at the hotel on my first night; the food was very good, but it's on the expensive side for what it is. The staff who served me that night were both wonderful, and Makesh made me THE BEST Daiquiri I've ever had! I didn't catch the name of the other staff member, but she was lovely too! The rooms are well equipped, with the usual kettle and teas and coffee, iron and board, and lovely, fluffy towels! I liked the addition of a face cloth, which (in my experience) most hotels don't provide. The room was made up each day I stayed, which was a lovely touch that I wasn't expecting in current times. The air con is great, and I used it a lot with it being so hot during my stay. The breakfast at the hotel is fab; it's table service at the moment, but you can have as many things off the menu as you like, and staff come over to ask if you'd like anything else once you've finished what they brought. The atmosphere and surroundings of the hotel are lovely and relaxed, which is just what I wanted. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the edge of the city centre. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel and I hope to visit again!
