Avoid Dolce – They Sell Expired Food and Don’t Take Responsibility

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Dolce. On 01/07/2025, my girlfriend ordered food for me through Deliveroo, and I received a milkcake that was past its expiration date. The milkcake was expired, and I became seriously ill after consuming it. I endured stomach issues for days, which could have been avoided if the store had properly managed its food safety practices.

The next day, I visited the shop to address the issue and was shocked to find expired foods still. The staff were indifferent and refused to report the problem to the owners. They assured me someone would reach out to resolve the matter, but a week has passed, and I’ve heard nothing.

I’ve also reported the issue to Deliveroo, but there’s been no action taken so far. It’s deeply concerning that a business would sell expired products and fail to take responsibility when it affects customers’ health. This is especially alarming when considering the potential risks to vulnerable individuals, such as children.

As you can see in the attached image of the milkcake, the use-by date is 27/06/2025, and my Deliveroo receipt clearly shows the delivery was made on 01/07/2025. The expiration date had even been tampered with, and while the label was partially torn off, it was clear that the product was no longer safe to consume.
