Unfortunately my evening was ruined by the rudest woman I have ever had the displeasure of talking to. I have been having problems with my bank card lately and out of COURTESY to the staff I asked her (blonde, older woman) to put the payment through before pouring the pints to save having to waste them if card didn't work. After speaking to me in a vile manner and making it perfectly obvious that this minor inconvenience had troubled her greatly, she started slamming till drawers around and made every effort to belittle me in front of her beloved "regulars". I'll make sure to put a "good word" in at the next national seminar I go to; I'm sure the 500+ conference users that will be coming your way in 2020 will be grateful to learn where not to drink. Please don't feel like anybody has to respond to this as I can clearly see that whoever responds to your reviews (likely the miserable, nasty peice of work that served me) has more interest in arguing than actually resolving customer grievances.i sincerely hope this woman learns something by this as the rest of your team seemed very pleasant. I wouldn't expect somebody to treat me like that if I had just insulted them to their face, let alone when I was perfectly polite and was actually just trying to ensure no...
Read more1 star rating for this place is way too much.
First of all, why they asked us (a very varied group of friends from places all over the world) for ID if we are ordering Coke Zero? Anyways this is just the beginning, nothing actually compared to what happened next.
I also ordered food, but for some reason the waiter forgot to write it down or something and I never got my food. So I asked ok you forgot it, happens to anyone, can you bring it now? The answer was a solid NO, the reason being that the kitchen is now closed so no more food can be served. So I was hungry, ordered on time but anyways got yelled at (the staff is rude, don't know who they think they are) and got no food.
Overall the attitude of the staff there is like, why you open a bar or whatever if you are going to treat customers like garbage? (maybe they where rude since we were clearly not English and they don't like people from other countries, there's a word for this...) I mean is not a favor they are doing for us, we are paying for it! The name Sacks Of Potatoes, should change the to Sack Of you know..
AVOID THIS "PLACE" AT ALL COST, KEEP YOUR MONEY, YOUR PEACE, YOUR TIME.
Really cannot stress this enough, don't go for your own good. I wish I could...
Read moreAs I have recently moved In to the local area, I was recommended this pub by a few friends and it didn’t disappoint. Upon arrival I was greeted by very friendly bar staff named Cassandra and Shelia and was shown to my table. However this is where the good news ends. As I opened the menu I was extremely disappointed to find out that I couldn’t order a sack of potatoes and I was even more disappointed to find out they serve cauliflower wings as nobody in there right mind would order that. I instead went for one of the pub classics which is never a pub classic an ultimate chicken tikka masala. However once I got my food I noticed hair in my food and wanted it sent back and when I got food back I was horrified to see one of the chefs spit in my food just before it was sent out. I then put my complaints to a very lovely Shelia who dealt with the issue. Furthermore this pub doesn’t allow inclusivity as a bunch of people showed up with a pride flag which were quickly booted out by the owner. The photo below believe it or not was the chicken tikka masala. I tried to point out it was a roast dinner but they insisted it was a chicken tikka masala. You can be the judge of that. Furthermore the beer was green...
