Boutique Nights — Hotel in Eastbourne

Has great potential but doesn't live up to expectations. There is too much emphasis on frou-frou (slippers, dressing gown, Teddy bears, cushions ++) and not enough on the ergonomics and practicalities of the room. For example, I had to climb over the bed to get to the window, there was nowhere to put the 6 pillows/cushions and the wardrobe door was 8 inches from the bed...no way is anyone able to open and use it. Bathroom is tiny and nowhere really to hang wet towels and foot mat. Overall, it felt quite claustrophobic, particularly in this bedroom area. I recommend that the very well-intentioned owners spend 2 nights together in each of the rooms (especially the smaller room) along with coats, bags and suitcases. I wish...

SCAM most definitely. We booked this months ago to attend the Eastbourne tennis based on the good 2023 reviews. Full payment was taken 10 days ago and we received an email from Anne-Marie Hamilton cancelling our booking due to renovations a few days before we go! Exactly as others have experienced. Absolutely no mention of returning our money, of course she isn't answering the phone, texts or emails. She is still advertising her property on numerous sites. I do hope anyone who has booked will see the latest reviews before she takes their cash too. SCAM DO NOT BOOK! We booked via Airbnb, full payment taken. On arrival, check in instructions did not work and they didn’t respond on phone, email or Airbnb. Someone finally opened the door to tell us they were the new tenant and Boutique Nights had disappeared months ago.
