After booking this hotel with Booking.com and stating "should be disabled accessible for mobility scooter" I receive message "we are pleased to let you know the accommodation has confirmed they will be able to arrange this for you". Day of stay I receive message from Reservation Manager "our hotel is not wheelchair accessible, unfortunately". In this day and age every hotel should have disabled access, there can be no excuse. On getting to hotel there are 15 steps leading to front door, can't get in anyway unless you ring mobile number for entry. Had to go in through Bar at side of hotel, there are 2 steps leading to door. Bar is on lower ground floor, have to get lift up to Reception, lift is so small that even if you did get Wheelchair, mobility scooter in, you would have to get out of these for lift door to close. When at Reception there was no one there. Eventually lady arrives from lift pushing a pushchair, could have been one of the public, but no she's there to book us in, shows no signs of Customer Service eg. Welcome, hope you enjoy your stay. Tight corner to go round to get to room, could get round but with struggle. Had to preorder Breakfast, don't necessarily know what you will want in the morning. Nobody EVER on Reception, had to use Mobile phone to ask for more pillows and a fan. Fan arrives two out of four feet missing, guy who bought it did do his best to be fair, wasn't really his position to sort it out. Guy who does the bar (sorry didn't get your name) was welcoming, helpful and polite as was the guy serving Breakfast. Two star Hotel? I wouldn't even have given a one star. Could do with a visit from the...

My boyfriend and I booked a double room on the first floor, and from the moment we walked in we were disappointed. The bed was certainly not a double and was basically on the floor it was so low down - the mattress was broken too. We barely got any sleep as even with the windows closed as there was no soundproofing - we could hear every word from people outside on the street drunk late at night. We also got ONE FLAT PILLOW EACH and nothing else - the bed was bare and very uncomfortable.
The QR code we were given to sign into the wi-fi did not work and there was nobody we could contact about it. The room was also tiny and barely any space to move around and seemed extremely unclean and full of dust.
The room was advertised with a "coffee machine" in the room but was just a kettle with some instant coffee sachets and one teabag each.
The "white" shower curtain has brown stains on it and was held up by a metal wire. The shower itself was in a bathtub and the shower head was positioned so low that you had to be about 5 foot tall to stand under to wash yourself.
I would not recommend this to anybody, if you are travelling through Eastbourne...
Read moreThe dirtiest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in - bathroom was absolutely gross. The surfaces were covered in dirt. The shower curtain was filthy. Toilet brush was covered in poo. Whoever fitted the shower did a total bodge and I doubt if they are a qualified plumber. Shower didn’t drain. TV didn’t work. The lock on the room door didn’t lock properly. The room stank of cigarette smoke. Walls are paper thin so you can hear your neighbours like they’re in your room. Checkout is early at 10am, but they clearly don’t use the extra time to clean the rooms properly. The communal areas of the hotel are full of random crap. For £70 it’s probably the worst value for money I’ve had. It’s being run into the ground. My advice is to...
