Bay lodge — Hotel in Great Britain

Needed a cheap room with parking for 3 nights and this seemed to fit the bill and have good reviews.||However it was very hard to find and then there was no apparent parking.||There was also no reception so you had to call a number and someone came to give you the key. They also said you could park around the back but it is very tight and the car got scratched. Then the room key didn't work and the number had to be called again.||Once inside the room as good - clean and recently decorated and with tea making facilities. There is also a kitchen which can be used but breakfast is not included.||Unfortunately the room was at the front facing a very busy main road and with no double glazing it was noisy and diifficult to sleep.||Althoigh the price was quite cheap, with a shared bathroom between several rooms the negatives didn't really make up for this. Me and my partner had checked into this hotel recently and what occurred has absolutely shocked us. The owner "Lynn" had robbed us and refused to provide any invoice or evidence of payment as she clearly avoids paying her taxes. The rooms were horrendous with carpets in excrement, toilets were blocked and the building stunk of urine! Alarmingly when challenged on the poor state of the hotel she attempted to blackmail the guests by sayin "I have been secretly video recording you and your wife".||||disturbing experience, my wife is now unwell and has anxiety that Lynn had been recording her in the hotel without her permission.||||...lost for words.||||...reported to the local...

I stayed here for a week for business. The BnB is very clean and tidy, and my interactions with the owner Lin over the phone and in person were very pleasant and helpful. I had to sleep with earplugs though, as my room was to the front which is a very busy road. I'm a pretty light sleeper though, so this may not be a problem for everyone. Basic breakfast (cereals, toast) were provided in the kitchen downstairs, which suits me much better than a full cooked breakfast. Tea facilities in the room with biscuits daily was much...
