Lovely pub with 6 (or is it 8?) regularly rotated real ales, a stupid number of gins, whiskies, vodkas and rums, and Leffe on tap.
Best pub quiz I've won (this may be biased, because we've won it on more than one occasion), and really fabulous staff and landlords who know their drinks and combinations thereof.
They have a diverse range of clientele, are always friendly and welcoming to whoever may cross the threshold, particularly those who may feel anxious going to other Aylesbury pubs. The Aylesbury Munch is held here on the first Tuesday of the month as well as a board games munch, and card games and role-playing games can frequently be found to be occurring in various corners. Attractive and attentive bar staff too, which never hurts.
Rather good stone-baked pizzas and garlic breads, but the chips. Oh, the chips! Mr potato head and his family did the world a huge service by jumping into the OMA's fryer.
Disclaimer: I have no commercial interest in this pub except for being a local and a regular drinker there. It's just a damn fine pub and Aylesbury is lucky to have it in its...

We both ordered the same burger meal which was excellent with lovely home made coleslaw that rendered the usual condiments pointless. Mark the manager was a great host. He remembered my post on Facebook from the previous day and engaged with us in conversation, displaying a real passion for great beer which, I am happy to report, was well kept and served. Real ale fans will be familiar with the brews on offer, from Tring's Side Pocket For A Toad to Rebellion's Pit Stop. The Malt brewery in Prestwood was also represented with their bitter which went down rather well, as did everything really. Atmosphere very pleasant and will have a broad appeal. Best bit was the 50p/pint discount for CAMRA members. Worth the train journey from...

We all had the roast belly pork and normally with a Sunday roast I find a few things on the plate just a little uninspiring. But not here, everything was great, even the veg, THE VEG!!
lovely staff, pleasant atmosphere, and decently priced. All round...
