I had a truly disappointing experience at Soft Play and Stay Aylesbury today. My two children, aged 2 and 5, were having fun when three older children began to grab my 5-year-old son by his legs and arms, even though he repeatedly asked them to stop. I was watching closely and intervened, but the other children denied any wrongdoing while my son, in tears, tried to explain what happened.
The situation was made worse by the fact that one of the boys, who seemed around 10 or 12 years old, spoke to me very rudely, claiming first that they were there alone and then that his grandmother was the manager. I decided to remove my children from the play area and report the incident to the manager.
Unfortunately, the manager's response was completely unsatisfactory. She was rude and dismissive, simply stating that she had "already told them to stop." She made no effort to check if my children were okay or to apologize for the distress they experienced. Her behavior was highly unprofessional, especially considering her role in a facility meant for children's safety and enjoyment.
To make matters worse, the children involved continued to run around unsupervised, causing further disruption to other kids. This left me feeling frustrated and helpless, as the staff clearly failed to manage the situation appropriately.
Thankfully, my children were not physically harmed, but the experience was deeply troubling. I expected a much higher standard of care and respect from the staff, particularly in an environment designed for young children. I cannot recommend this venue to other parents based on...
Read moreWe just celebrated our daughter’s 3rd birthday here and it was fantastic! The management took all the stress out of getting things organised and answered all my hundreds of questions, giving me full peace of mind (i just had to get the guests there, bring cake and pay!) and the kids and adults all thoroughly enjoyed their time here. We started in the soft play, where the kids all had a blast, I was worried there might be a lot of other kids being a weekend but it was just right. We then went to have our delicious food in the party room, the food was very tasty, we had pizza, nuggets, chips, crisps and biscuits - the kids and parents all had plenty to eat too! There plenty of toys in the party room, making sure any kids who didn’t really want to eat still had fun, and finally we went to the role play lane and that is such a wonderful area, the kids all got to play together with costumes and pretend play their favourite activities! There are Lots of helpers constantly putting things back in their place so the next kids don’t end up missing out on the role play stations, really great! All was very clean, the food and coffee were delicious and most importantly we had some very happy children! Thank you for making my little girls birthday so much fun and my life so...
Read moreThis is a great place for toddling kids and older. If you have an explorative child there is a lot to keep them engaged and the apparatus is big and sturdy enough for parents to accompany smaller children if need be. My 2 year old found the side with the big slides a little overwhelming but really enjoyed looking at the underwater world screen, playing on the piano and some other bits. The toddler section (being a toddler, of course) was perfect for her.
Staff were friendly and were on point clearing tables and monitoring numbers for safety.
Unfortunately, my biggest gripe was waiting 40 minutes for a small pizza only to be told they hadn't even started making it yet 🙄 Not impressed at all. Had I known ordering food would have taken so long, I'd have ordered when I arrived! 10 minutes later the pizza arrived with a packet of crisps to acknowledge and a apologise for the wait. 50 mins for a pizza onsite is abysmal tbh. Anyway, my offspring ate it on the way home so at least it tasted alright 😊 Personally, I thought the prices overall were reasonable.
I think we will return but are unlikely to order hot food...
