Borthwen B&B — Hotel in Great Britain

Had a lovely stay at Borthwen recently. Hosts were friendly and welcoming. The bedrooms were immaculate and the bed was extremely comfortable. Unfortunately there were no biscuits in the room to go with the tea/ coffee. I went out and bought my own so there wasn't a problem. The B/B is in a quiet location though I was woken up at 3am on two occasions due to railway workers returning to the B/B after a night shift. Breakfast was nice on the whole. The natural yogurt and fruit were lovely. The quality of the cooked breakfast was ok, sausages were very pale in colour and had an unusual texture. Would have been nice to have had good quality bread as toast instead of steamed, supermarket bread ....and proper butter! We spent a night here on the way to collect our daughter from university and it was gorgeous right from the start. We were warmly greeted by Colin, and the B&B smelt divine as soon as you stepped inside. The decor was very tasteful and the room was gorgeous. The bed was just the right firmness and the bedlinen was so silky and cool and you got this amazing fragrance every time you turned over. Breakfast was excellent with really high quality ingredients. Just the right size that you were full but not stuffed. It's in a room with floor to ceiling windows and you can sit and watch the birds on the bird feeder. The gardens are lovely to sit out in and the town is less than 5 minutes walk away with plenty of really nice restaurants. We will definitely return as there seemed plenty to do in...

Cosy B&B, conveniently located within walking distance of Dolgellau and a short drive away from nearby attractions. The people running it are lovely, and the room was nice and modern. Also has amazing views of the mountains around.

Breakfast was great and the service was excellent.

Word of warning: - the road leading to the B&B is very narrow and single track up a steep gradient, so please take care and drive carefully (and slowly) when approaching...
