Stayed here for 4 nights as a solo traveller as a base to explore the surrounding area. I had a lovely room on the second floor, which had everything you possibly want - a comfy bed, a good shower, free wi-fi, tea and coffee making facilities, and even a mini fridge! The vegetarian breakfast was delicious, and came with grilled halloumi as a meat substitute. Cereals, fresh orange juice, and tea and coffee were also available. The staff were also very friendly too and made you feel at ease. I noticed a few of the reviews mentioned noise from the bar - I genuinely didn't here a peep from my room, possibly because my stay fell between a Monday to Friday if that makes any difference to helping fellow adventurers choosing days for their stay.||The location itself was fantastic - I don't drive but still managed to visit everywhere I wanted to as the public transport was pretty good for such a small town.||Overall, the stay was perfect - I would highly recommend the Torrent Walk Hotel for those who are using Dolgellau as a base for...

We've visited the Torrent walk pub/hotel a few times now and it's one of our favourite establishments in Dolgellau for refreshments. The building itself is a wonderful piece of history with old beams and bricks and a rustic atmosphere. The roof is quite low due to the age of the building and there are a few steps to enter but there is another entrance round the side which would be more accessible for those with mobility issues.

I cannot review the hotel/restaurant as I haven't experienced those yet but the pub itself is quaint and humble in my opinion.

The staff are friendly and there is a large TV for sports viewings when on but does get very busy at these times.

Torrent walk isn't a big building so seating inside can be difficult at busy times but there is a larger outside seating area at the front on a pedestrianised street where live music and open mic nights are great when they're on.

Over all a wonderful little pub packed with history in the small town in...

Didn’t stay here but went there for food upon the recommendation of the manager of The Royal Ship Hotel who were fully booked for food and he wasn’t wrong. It’s a lovely old pub. Low ceilings, huge fireplace and beer mats decorating the rafters. Proper British pub decor at its best. Despite arriving towards the end of the kitchen hours they happily agreed to cook whatever we wanted off the menu. I had the pie of the day, lovely meaty chunks with rich gravy, veg and chips. My friend had the lamb. Again tender tasty and lovely. Outside in the narrow street way they had an open mic event going on. Apparently a regular Wednesday event. The walkway has strings of lights crisscrossing it and on such a warm evening with gentle music being played we could easily have been on Italy or the like. The beer was great as was the service. Thank you again.

Spent 5 nights in Dolgellau, and so far, we've eaten here on 3 evenings. I've had something different each time, and all have been superb. They have a nice, varied menu, and everything has been beautifully prepared and presented, good tasty food for a very reasonable price. Staff have been really friendly and the place has a nice atmosphere with plenty of locals eating here too. They also have a good range of ales and beers on tap! Don't miss this place, you won't be disappointed!

I was in the area doing 2 days off-road motorcycle riding/training at Moto Junkies nearby (see separate review) and everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, recommended this place for great food and generous portions, they're not wrong! Great, friendly service, the food is very good quality, and there's a diverse menu, everything you could want after a long day, but don't take my word for it- get over there, you won't be disappointed, a great find!
