We were told it was quirky and you'd better believe it, on the plus side it was very clean with a welcoming bottle of wine, chocolates on the bed, the linen and towels were all fresh and parking this time of the year was not a big problem. You couldn't get better positioning for the town and sea but now the negatives, it is on the 3rd floor, not a fact they tried to hide but there was no fire escape, the bathroom radiator was leaking and the toilet paper left under it prior to our arrival was soaking wet and had spilt on to the floor. I had not noticed there was no lounge or place to relax other than the bedroom, where the metal springs were coming through the mattress or the kitchen and we might just have been unlucky but the flat below had their washing machine on from before 9am to after 9pm each of the 4 days we stopped there, I can't imagine anyone having that much washing and when on spin it shook the kitchen floor and the wine in the glass. Read moreWe stayed at the mary house for 3 nights the decor of the house is very poorly finished there was lumps of plaster on the floor in the courner of the room which my daughter put in her mouth! The cups hadn't been changed for the 3 nights we was here nor was the bed sheets the floor wasnt hoovered either. the breakfast was rubbish we saw it and didn't bother even tho I paid for it. Also it was lovely and quiet and even other guests arriving / moving around wasnt a problem. I have a naughty and nice list of places to stay and this on is definitely on my nice list, I would happily recommend the service and the room. Can't say anything about breakfast though as I didn't have any but if my other experience was owt to to by...
