This was such a great find. The volunteers running the museum are all highly informative and just want to share their love of history with anyone who whats to come and enjoy the museum. We happened to come and visit on halloween, the effort and detail that had been thought of to entertain children over half term was amazing.

It was nice visiting an area that my ancestors once lived and getting to know the local history. There was plenty to see at the museum and gain a sense of what life was like in 1940s. This museum is worth a visit if ever in the area.

Excellent little museum full of interesting artefacts . There are police cells full of information and at only 3 pounds per person you can't complain. .

Thought we’d bring our little boy for something to do as a break from the caravan site and also for me and my partner as we love learning about the local history wherever we visit, couldn’t of had a better time in here, even with my little one getting a little bored when me and his dad were reading everything, the range of historical info, from dino’s right up to WW2, the passion each and every member of staff showed was amazing, it had such a personal touch and being able to just ask questions and receive such detailed answers was brilliant, and my little boy adored the dinosaur spotting and it kept him really well entertained as we went round, including the rats and cats.

Thankyou to everyone at porthcawl museum for giving us such an enjoyable morning, will definitely be back here again whenever we come back...

Brilliant place!!! I popped in for no particular reason other than occupying my time for a short while. I was amazed at the amount of items on view, and all pertaining to local history. Fascinating! Staff are very friendly and are happy to answer all queries and more than willing to engage in conversations regarding local history. Run by volunteers who act as professional as you would want. Well worth a visit if you are...

A truly excellent couple of hours spent discovering the wonderful history of Porthcawl and how it has evolved over the years. The presentation is so well done that you hardly notice time go by while you are there. You can also discover fascinating facts about the surrounding area and the second world War which will really surprise you. A great team of volunteers that really know their...
