It's been years since I've been here and was pleasantly surprised the beach is very clean and it has lifeguards. It's quite a large beach so if you want you can sit near the funfair end or go to the other end where is quiet. There is the usual places to eat and have an ice-cream. But Beales fish and chips are across the road near the Park nice to have fish and chips on the beach, talking about the park there are toilets just outside and the park is lovely for children and adults. Take a walk up to the town along the promenade taking in the refurbished harbour if the weather is nice a good day out for not a lot of money for families on a budget. There is plenty of parking just...

Staying at a local hotel for a few days on a coach holiday, we lucky to able to walk around Porthcawl and its seafront pretty much all day and particular early morning whilst waiting for our breakfast time. Didnt manage to get to the sea due the rocky front but that didnt spoil our time. Porthcawl had a local parkrun on the seafront, where the locals ran up and down the path side of the sea front. This reminded us of the Park runs in our own town and how busy it can get. Porthcawl sea front had plenty of dog walkers and families taking their children and was able to enjoy an ice cream or too. Nice to walk along during the...

I went here last year with my girlfriend and some of the family and said I'd return with my daughter, and so I did. A visit to the beach is always welcoming as was Coney beach Porthcawl ⛱ during these times the beach wasn't that busy but was most enjoyable, the sea was lovely and there constantly for all to enjoy. The amusement Park was entertaining and there was plenty of food and drink stalls to accommodate the visitors The seaftont away from the beach just a short walk was pleasant as well with more restaurants and entertainment with a Seaview that is panoramic After a long day what's better than fish and chips...

Always popular, the seafront stretches from the fairground and sandy beach all the way to Rest Bay which is a distance of about 1.5 miles. So it is many things to many people with the fun of the beach and fair for families, the opportunity to walk and cycle and stop off at a cafe for a drink and food or just to sit on a bench to enjoy the views across the channel. One major attraction when it is windy at full tide is the little light house at the harbour entrance. It must be one of the most photographed in the UK.
