After suffering a fire at our home on Bank Holiday Monday, our family unfortunately, found ourselves homeless. Our insurance company booked us in to the Premier Inn Derby East for 2 weeks, which at the time we considered would be ample time to mobilise remediators to commence work on making our home habitable again.||Upon arrival we were greeted by Laura and Chloe on reception, they were kind and understanding and even offered us some biscuits. We stayed in rooms 6 and 7 on the ground floor. They were large and accommodating and what you expect from a Premier Inn. We ate in the restaurant on our first evening and found the food to be tasty, although the cost was comparable to most hotel food in the area. We opted to eat elsewhere close by for other times during our 2 week stay.||Simon on breakfast and the Manager, Darren were empathetic and helpful allowing us to take some food through to our son's room, when he didn't feel like sitting in the restaurant. The breakfast was good quality and a good variety, so helped us to fill up for breakfast so we could manage until the evening.||During our extended stay someone 2 floors above decided it would be fun to leave a bath running and flooded that room and the 2 floors directly below, meaning that our son had to move rooms. Laura managed this well and put him next door to us in the adjacent room. I guess this is all part and parcel of running a hotel, so it was nice to see how calmly it was managed to sort out everything.||Riley who worked in the afternoon's was a genuinely nice young man who took everything in his stride. He was hard working and just got stuck in. Whilst this isn't a hugely staffed Premier Inn, all of the staff we encountered worked exceptionally hard, moving between reception, the restaurant, kitchen and bar. ||I would say that while the hotel isn't perfect (it's a little tired) the staff really make up for this and do their best to provide everyone with the most comfortable and enjoyable experience. The location is helpful, being just far enough away from the center of Derby and Pride Park but, close enough to a Sainsbury's to walk to so we could top up on extra clothing and snacks.||Thank you to Darren, Laura, Simon, Chloe and Riley for what could have been awful time made somewhat better by your valued service with a smile. Something which costs nothing but seems to be lacking within most of the service...

And it was a little calamari And then half hour passed and am asking when is my main going to be ready was told five minute nope Iv seen people walk out there has been people here waiting longer then me Itās pub grub It absolutely shouldnāt take this kinda time to cook a meal
Absolutely worse services iv had at a hotel period !! I feel sorry for two staff that was left to deal with the unhappy customers And as for the cook they should be ashamed of them self Clearly they need to be working in a chipshop I canāt believe a company like the premier in thinks that is acceptable And letās talk about the price point Ā£7 for nachos yesterday not even a half a packet that you would get from a shop Ā£6.99 for calamari drenched in oil Ā£16.99 for a stake You order it and the. You are the. Billed for extras It dosnt say because it stake you have to pay an upgrade and the. Your charged Ā£1.99 for pepercorn sauce Thatās is the smallest thing iv ever seen Not only is there hardly any choice on the menu what your charged is a joke ! Ā£7.99 for a desert food here was terrible The cook should of came out and apologised instead of let the two staff members take all the heat Would never come back here cook needs firing
Imagine paying Ā£14.99 for that burger and chips š³š¤š¤¦š¾āāļø

Read moreCame here just for one night on Sunday 12th October the hotel was pretty quiet at the time I was there. The check in process was dealt with in a nice relaxed manner and it was explained to me where everything was even though I've been here before it was nice to be refreshed on where things were, I was asked on checking if I wanted to book a table in the restaurant which I did. The room was very clean and well presented. I noticed they don't have glasses in the rooms anymore which is fine as I just used a glass cup instead. The bed was extremely comfortable and the blackout curtains very useful as I like a dark room when I go to sleep. The restaurant was very clean and well presented, there was a guy at the stand upon my arrival to the restaurant and he was very courteous and asked if I had any allergies which I didn't but still good to be asked the question. I opted for the meal deal which was £26.99 which I thought was good value as I had a starter of spring rolls and a main of smothered chicken and I had a pint of lager included and it also included breakfast the next day. I had a desert also which was an extra £3.00 on top. All the food served was delicious. The chap who seated me was busy at reception but the chef came out and asked if everything was ok. I paid up and went to bed and had a great night's sleep. Breakfast was extremely tasty and it was the same two people on who were on the previous night and they both seemed in good spirits considering I'd only seen them a few hours ago. The only thing I'm not so keen on is that they don't seem to do the pots of yogurt's now instead it's all in a dish for you to spoon out yourself, got to say that doesn't seem a good idea. Thank you for a lovely night's stay and thank you to the chef Callum for his excellent food and service and also the other chap I think he was the manager on duty for his professional and kind presence and the housekeeper for giving me a nice clean room. These people are a credit to...
