Visited Pride Park Derby today with family, stepped through the door, shouted at by girl behind counter ' I can't have you all in'. I reassured my autistic son, as he was completely thrown by the staff member, managed to persuade him to come out. We dealt with the meltdown, and eventually tried again, sitting him down at a table, as he was frightened to wait outside, and of queuing with me. Eventually got to counter, was asked impolitely what I wanted, but didn't get the correct filling. Asked the staff member if she wouldn't mind not shouting at customers and that it's hard for those on the autistic spectrum, to which she snapped she 'couldn't have more than 14 and I was polite'. Rest of staff prepared rest of rolls politely and correctly. Whether she felt she was polite or not, it caused distress to us, and just a word of acknowledgement that she could have handled it differently would have made such a difference. SUBWAY, please get your staff training sorted, there are many disabilities that are not visible, and many people are finding it increasingly difficult to cope with the new normal. Re food, bread was stale, falling apart, and was nowhere near the standard pre-covid. First visit for at least a year, we won't...
ย ย ย Read moreReally surprised as the reviews for this place seemed pretty good, maybe it's just because it's a bank holiday.
Place was empty and dirty, no other customers but napkins and things left laying around
Staff were not friendly at all and you could tell that they really didn't want to be there.
Subs were made with no effort at all, just thrown together and all falling apart.
Same employee did both parts of the process, meat and salad and didn't change gloves, not an issue for myself but from a food hygiene standard this is not good, someone touching the meat then the veggies is not ideal when you have people with dietary requirements.
No napkins, bags, cutlery offered and given the state of how the subs were made; we needed to eat them with a knife and fork.
I certainly will not be going to this Subway again and unless you want to eat your sandwich with a knife and fork, I wouldn't recommend...
ย ย ย Read moreWorst sub I have ever had! The new ordering system is ridiculous. Takes a lot longer than usual. The staff look like rabbits in the headlights. None of them had a clue what they were doing. I saw 3 full subs being thrown as they had made them wrong. Sandwiches and salads literally thrown together. Sandwiches were toasted and then thrown on the side for at least 5 mins whilst they were working all around them making other sandwiches that should have been done in an order. 5 people in front of me and it took 30 mins to get mine. That would have taken 10 mins max before this new ordering system. Zero customer service now and no care taken with your food. I have been eating subs for over 18 years with my partner working there for several of those years. But this is the worse I have known ever. Go back to the normal ordering system and you may get some form of...
