Yesterday, I had tried my first ever Tim Hortons experience in your new Derby Branch. It was by no means a pleasant experience.
Once I entered the restaurant I was shocked at the standard of hygiene you hold. I was disgusted in fact.
Nevertheless we used the ordering machines and placed our order. (2 Chicken Burger meals & 2 hotdogs.) as we were curious what your food and drinks were like.
Once we received our food and sat down at our table, I had noticed they were missing one portion of fries. This is not a big issue, these things happen occasionally, we are all human. So I took the bag of food back to the counter and showed the staff that the bag was missing a portion of fries.
This is where the issues begun.
The lady I had showed the bag to was confused at my request for the portion of fries due to they are missing. After her confusion, as she was holding another customers bag of food which she was waiting for them to collect, she had put her bare hand into the bag, picked up the other customers fries by the top, touching all of the fries with her hand and proceeded to attempt to hand them to me, still holding the box by the top with her palm covering the opening…
I refused these fries, I said I do not want another customers fries which you have touched all over with your hands and that I wanted a fresh batch to be provided to me.
Again, I received this confused look and she asked why? Not only did she not understand the fact she was removing food from another customer’s bag of food who was stood behind me, but that I did not want food she had touched with her bare palms whilst touching other parts of the restaurant.
She just wouldn’t provide me a replacement which was not touched by her disgusting hands. So I go to find the manager, who, as it turned out was stood next to her listening to what was going on and doing nothing about this. I said to him, in absolute disbelief of the situation, you heard this right? She is touching my food with her bare hands and I do not want this disgusting food. He had responded “sorry she is new” I had then said to him, Is this a joke? Is that your only response? He then asked them to make me the fries which I had been stood around practically arguing over. I said to him, this hygiene is a joke, why are you not fixing this? Why are you not telling her what she needs to do right? This place is disgusting and you’re touching my food with your probably unwashed hands. I then asked who the owning franchisee was, he just looked at me like a deer stood in headlights and just didnt respond, I stood there for about 30 seconds in disbelief that he refused to answer me so that I could aire my concerns with them directly.
Nevertheless, in the absence of the ability to contact the franchisee owner, I will instead air my concerns to yourself and will be providing the following images in serval reviews regarding your staff, your hygiene and your disgusting behaviour and conduct.

Drive thru order initially greeted by a very kind lady taking our order.
Half way through the order we get rudely interrupted by the general manager saying i will be with you in a minute. Very strange when halfway through our order already.
We had to repeat the order back again and he got it wrong and would not repeat the order back after asking him to due to it being incorrect on the screen.
We got to the window where a lady asked for payment i asked her if it was her taking the initial order she denied it was her.
I then said to her if it was you taking the order not to worry i thought you were doing a great job until you were rudely interrupted. She admitted it was her general manager.
She then admitted that it was her and she is currently training.
Her boss cut her off and was rude to us! And he's training her! OMG shocking. I asked to speak to him he wouldn't come to the drive through window ( coward).
The young lady couldn't apologise enough for his behaviour ( not her fault) I told her not to take any advice from such a rude ill mannered man! and for her not to be belittled by him. He needs sacking ASAP no respect for women, customers or staff. Date of visit 21/11/2022 @ 19:45pm.
P.S Food was awful clearly fries had been under a heat lamp for a very long time. Milkshake was like bits of crushed ice and zero flavour. Burgers were okay but thrown together and not worth the money.
Tim Hortons can i suggest you pay a visit to this site asap and observe the ill mannered staff and address the poor quality of food and cleanliness.
I think the management clearly need a shake as i think the term " MANAGER " may have gotten to someone's head a little to much.
Sorry you have to work with such a 🔔🔚 .
