Stayed a couple of nights at this Hostel. Loved the quirky decor and friendly atmosphere. I was fascinated by the fish tank inside a retro television set. The Hostel was spotless. No tv in the room but loved that they had a radio and a cd player, with a choice of discs and an assortment of books and magazines. In the communal dining room there is complimentary bread, butter, tea, coffee etc. The use of a full kitchen incase we wanted to cook any meals. We were also offered home made brownies by the lovely owner We shared a bathroom but there are rooms on suite Staff very friendly and enjoyed chatting to them All amenities are at hand being at the top of the High Street. The train station is across the road. About £7/£8 to go into Edinburg, which saves high Car Parking fees. Parking is fee in Dunbar. Lovely walk down to the Harbour to see the Castle, fishing boats and sea views We had a meal in the local pub nearby. The Volunteer Arms serve a lovely smoked haddock We will certainly visit again Thank you to all. We found everyone we met in Dunbar went above and beyond to make us...
Read moreExcellent hostel, really clean, welcoming and friendly. Tom who welcomed us was very friendly and knowledgeable about the town, facilities and local history too.
So much care and thoughtfulness has gone into the design of the whole hostel building and experience. There’s a retro 70s interior decor style and eco-friendly cleaning products.
Decent self-service breakfast included (including non dairy milks), teas, coffee, toast, jame, peanut butter, jams, butter (non-dairy too) and cereal selection.
For cyclists this place is a dream, they’ve thought of everything… 3 secure bike lockers in the back garden, and a bike wash too! We arrived too late to use the garden but it looked like a nice place to hang out, i side was very cosy too.
Room was clean and tidy, bead really comfy too. Bathroom was great too, great shower.

Read moreGreat location only three minutes walk from the station. Close to shops and food and restaurants and pubs but quiet. The atmosphere was very friendly and the staff were great! They helped me with finding a nice walk and with bus times etc and there were maps to borrow so I could explore! The kitchen was clean and great and the free breakfast was yummy and there was tea and coffee and biscuits around all day! The room was clean and quiet and the shared bathroom was right next door and was only shared by another room, so it was very accessible. It was a great place to spend a couple of nights and I will come back again sometime. The value was excellent and it was the nicest independent hostel I...
