Kings Palace — Restaurant in Scotland

I strongly urge everybody to avoid this poor excuse for a Chinese Restaurant, Last night I popped in to pick up my phone order and after being told how much I owed I responded politely with “sorry .. how much”? thinking they may have added an item accidentally. To my surprise and astonishment I was delivered a 3 minute non-stop shouting abusive rant “you don’t have to pay, leave food and go”! “just go… get out”! these two sentences were repeated over and over, I tried to calm the elderly lady down but this didn't have any impact, In the end I paid the young lass, but only because I was hungry and in a hurry, well that turned out to be my second mistake the food was very ordinary and definitely not authentic Chinese. I feel sorry both the young lass and the elderly lad (maybe the husband) they both looked so embarrassed. Some notes: 1. Recently, Kings Palace has looked more inviting. Sometimes you couldn’t tell if they were open or closed. However, we had a recommendation to ignore first impressions and try the food and we were not disappointed. I like the green pepper chicken and black bean sauce or the chicken Satay on or off the skewers. While my husband is Vegan/Vegetarian and has an extensive choice. Staff are friendly but sometimes you can here an old man shouting in Chinese from the kitchen 😀 I have noticed that there is a possibility to sit in now, that’s new, although they appear to have been a fully functioning restaurant before Covid19 hit. Both my partner & I were very disappointed with our meals from the Kings Palace tonight. My dish was supposed to be Beef with Green Pepper & Black Bean Sauce & there wasn't a green pepper in sight, only mushrooms, carrot & onion with lots of garlic (which my partner asked to leave out) This dish was tasteless & watery & I couldn't eat much of it.
