Visited twicw last week and just as our other visits to Prezzo for lunch everyone left happy and full. We had groups of 5 on 22/8/18 and 3 on 24/8/18. The restaurant is clean, light, and has a lovely relaxed atmosphere. They have highchairs and kids activity sheets. So whether you have a baby, older children, or want to go out on date night, Prezzo has you covered. The starters, mains, and sides were all very tasty. The calamari is so good my son only ever orders this starter as so many places we visit to dine get it wrong so he avoids it even though it's his favourite food. The mains have always been served piping hot, looking great, and very tasty with one exception. The chicken breast and mushrooms, although it was hot and tasty, it looked quite unappealing. The joy of the flavour and the perfectly cooked chicken soon made me forget how it looked. The risotto (both prawn and mushroom) are very tasty. The pork belly is melt in the mouth beautiful. The sea bass is fantastically moist, with a beautiful crisp skin. I could go on and on. In conclusion the food is great and worth every penny, if you have a voucher it's a bargain. On to the service, I have to say the service has only been a miss on one visit. They have some wonderful serving staff who genuinely deliver the best service to every customer on every visit no matter if they are busy or not. I have come across only 1 server who I don't think was up to the usual standard for Prezzo. She wasnt rude, but seemed stand offish and disinterested; however that was a one off and normally we have excellent service so we will absolutely be going back.

All photos are owned by me and are of food I was served in...

Massively disappointing service and the kids food wasn't fantastic. We went as a group on a Sunday lunchtime, with children excited for the Gabby's Dollhouse themed food. When reserving a table I asked for a highchair for the baby of our group and it wasn't there so we had to ask for this upon arrival and this was brought without a problem. However, after being given our menus no one returned to our table to take a drinks order or our food order. After 20mins we had to approach the servers to have this taken. It was then taken quickly and our food arrived quite promptly. The adult pizzas were lovely and hot. However, Prezzo had advertised on the kids menu cat shaped pizzas to celebrate the new Gabby's Dollhouse film being released but these didn't look anything like the advert and our girls were very disappointed. We also ordered the kids rainbow doughnuts and again massive disappointment, doughnut balls at best which were solid and tasteless. After complaining, to their credit the server did take these off our bill. Throughout our meal no one came over to check everything was ok or to ask if we'd like more drinks. The restaurant wasn't overly busy and there was staff about so this was frustrating. A restaurant we'd eaten at a couple of times before but not one we'll be looking to revisit...

We asked for the spaghetti king prawns to have no chilli in it as it was for young children to share but it was very spicy (probably in the sauce already) so I think we should have been informed that even leaving additional chillies out as we requested it was still a spicy dish and not really suitable for young children. We had to give the children some of our meals as they couldn’t eat it. We were also brought out an incorrect dish so one of the party had to wait for what they actually ordered to be cooked whilst everyone else started their meal. This incorrect dish was on the receipt instead of the correct dish. My son was offered a complimentary dessert as it was his birthday that day but we have been charged £7.95 for this dessert on the bill (which I didn’t notice at the tine) so it was definitely not complimentary! Also the service charge was pre-added which our waitress, Maud (who was great by the way) said she could remove if we wanted. It put us in an awkward position though so we just paid it but I normally like to make my own decision as to how much of a tip we leave and felt like this was forced upon us. On the whole we had a lovely evening but just wanted to make these...

For lovers of beige foods. I loved the idea of having family time and a treat of dining out. The food was ok and generic , bland beige, no actual flavour and well sad really the only thing that did have a taste or flavour was the lemonade that was so sharp set your mouth tingling ... the trends and flacid fads of healthy fast food is a no... this was not really accommodating to the various other diets I.e vegetarian or vegan.. The limited menu was pale .. the burgers were generic and the child pizza was ok.. the pasta dish was so bland that the baby ate it... shame it cost £80 to have a ok generic time... the best part were the staff . They gave you time to actually eat, didn't consistently bug you , however it did take 30 min to get a cup of water.. shame.... they do offer blue light discounts but if I am honest I paid full price as I couldn't get-out of there quick enough... sorry we we won't be coming back.. we would rather go to the Westfield railway inn , or venue 19 out of town as they offer significantly similar menus at the same prices but the food actually has flavour with great service.. Good luck prezzo with the changes in the butter Market.

Got to Ipswich quite late on a Sunday night but saw this restaurant was open until 10pm! Considering it was around 8pm there was still plenty of people sat in there eating which made a chance from seeing other places either closed or not having anyone dining in! Shared a pepperoni pizza and bacon, chicken & avocado salad which came out pretty quickly and were good portion sizes (the salad in particular- and it wasn’t just lettuce with token gesture amounts of other ingredients!). Our server was so nice and when I asked about the 50% discount Club Prezzo have on atm, he was helpful with telling me which barcode was needed etc. Which meant our total bill came to £27 instead of £54! *Club Prezzo members can get 50% off selected restaurants between now and 10th Oct 2025!!* After a long day on the road, this was a nice place to have a late evening meal!
