we were in Sheffield for a specific event, just the one night and the Butlers was perfectly sufficient for our needs. Its not the easiest place to find but that's no fault of the hotel, Sheffield is a complicated city to navigate. However the apartment was clean, reasonably well decorated and modern enough. There was free off road parking, the heating worked, shower was ok and the staff member was very helpful in finding us a local reliable taxi company. It is walking distance to the main high street but we were there for a specific event just on the outskirts. The description of a balcony was a little exaggerated, it was the fire escape landing but otherwise it was a fair deal. It's not a hotel, there are no hotel facilities but only self contained apartments that work if you just need somewhere simply to get some sleep with the option of knocking up your own breakfast or a snack, it suited us well enough. Only 2 pillows which had no pillow protector and were very thin/stained, had to go to nearest large shop to buy 2 pillows/pillowcases. Bottom sheet on bed worn and bobbly. Only 2 thin and worn bath towels provided, no hand towels or shower mat. No plug in kitchenette sink to wash cups etc. Over large fridge freezer which had seen better days.
