Dear Forge Bakehouse team. I would like to share my experience with you on my visit yesterday. First of all, the place looks great! The smell when you enter is amazing. Also the variety of the bread is wonderful. For the pastries, maybe quantity at the beginning of the afternoon can be refilled? I know you do it based on amount of what people asked, but there were so many people coming for the donuts for example and they were finished before 12..
Some points you could take into account. We were told that we needed to wait 30 min. As we came from really far special for this place, we decided to wait. After almost an hour we were asked to come inside. I went to other places where they had e.g. a max of 1 h sitting time. Maybe if people need to wait a lot, that would be an option? So everyone can have an equal moment to enjoy your baker.
After sitting, we were offered a menu. I ordered the French toast. Not knowing there was a special one that was served. So the one on the menu didnāt align with what was served. There was a special card on some tables and others not. There was the special offer written. Unfortunately this card was not on our table. The problem is that the French toast contained rum. I couldnāt have any alcohol so after realising the card on the other table with the ingredients I got quite shocked.
The staff made us pay the food from my partner. Which I find quite strange, as a service for the customer, I would give the whole meal for free, as we didnāt eat much at all. This came across as stingy to me from the employees.
Hope you take these points into account and be more careful with your communication and what you serve to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLast night's Italian-themed dinner at Forge Bakehouse was an absolute delight, and I can't help but share my glowing review. Being Italian, I have a deep appreciation for authentic Italian cuisine, and Forge Bakehouse truly delivered.
We kicked off the meal with the arancini, which were impeccably crispy on the outside and incredibly flavorful within. The homemade orecchiette with salmon sauce was a masterpiece. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the salmon sauce was a harmonious blend of creamy and savory flavors. It transported me straight to Italy with every bite.
And then there was the panna cotta - a sheer indulgence. Its creamy, velvety texture was exquisite, and the berry topping provided a delightful contrast of sweetness. It was a sweet symphony for the taste buds.
The only minor drawback of the evening was a particularly loud table nearby, which, unfortunately, the staff couldn't control. However, the overall dining experience was so wonderful that it hardly detracted from our enjoyment.
Despite the scorching Indian summer weather, the Forge Bakehouse staff were the epitome of warmth and hospitality. Their friendly demeanor and attentiveness added an extra layer of enjoyment to the evening.
In summary, Forge Bakehouse's Italian night is a true culinary gem. I can't wait to return for another round of their delectable dishes. Grazie mille for an unforgettable dining...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNext level baked goods. Forge bakehouse has brought joy into me and my relatives' lives over lockdown. Bread and pastries to commit crimes for. (this might seem an odd notion to people who haven't tried them.) personal favourites include all the croissant based goods, almond is especially indulgent (I suspect it may very slightly shorten your life expectancy, it's just so gloriously rich, but the happiness it brings makes this a price more than worth paying) and the ciabatta, honestly it's ridiculously good. It may involve some kind of witch craft. But the good kind. Thank you Forge bakehouse for the wonder you bring! ā¤ļø Quick edit as I have tried more things:baked cheesecake is joyous, light creamy heaven. Teacakes may be the best use of a pound I've found yet. Brownies a must try and pies are ace. Their coffee beans, the ones they use themselves are really good. I got a fancy machine at Christmas and the forge beans are among my favourites! If you can love a shop forge is the shop I love the most. Had breakfast today, full English is spot on. Son had French toast and bacon also ridiculously good. Youngest, who had the fry up, said it was one of the best things he'd ever eaten. The two of them argued over the whose breakfast was the best. We had pastries for pudding. Try the pumpkin pie btw. You will thank me.
Is this the longest...
