Update: 27/08/22 so we went back to the five star nether edge pizza last night and it was ENTIRELY different to the two times I'd visited before - we ordered two small beers and a gluten free prosciutto and mushroom pizza. We paid upfront. Waited 20 minutes before realising they'd forgotten our drinks. Waited ANOTHER 20 minutes (40 minutes now since sitting down) for our pizza, they'd accidentally forgotten that too. Five minutes after that they bring over a delicious looking bubbling pizza, our tummies are rumbling like mad at this point and we're late for our friends that we're meeting up with at over the yardarm - they say "but it's NOT GLUTEN FREE". My husband takes it anyway because we're both so hungry at this point and has cramps all night. The service was awful, I could see them laughing about it through the window. I don't know how this could happen. Gutted as I loved this place and vouched for it, I've taken loads of mates there too and my husband will likely not go back now.
June 22 - 5* Absolutely delicious. My fave! Great beers too as well as alternative soft drinks.
Oct 21 - went with two friends and the pizzas are so tasty. Staff seem really funky...
Read moreLovely tasting wood fire cooked pizza in a quirky modern setting. Fantastically thin base pizzas which makes it a healthier option for a pizza. Ordered a cheese garlic bread and a half/half... Crimicar Cajun Chicken (without crisp bacon) & Netheredge Veg with Pitsmoor Pesto and when it arrived...the pizza was loaded with flavour! Loved the wood fire charcoal taste at the bottom. Although the pizza was quite pricey at £10.50, the chefs seemed quite busy preaparing deliveries and there were a few sit in customers too. My niece and I sat in and it was quite a novelty to see our pizza being made in a traditional way. The aroma of the pizza was mouth watering and the service of the chef & assistants was really pleasant & friendly. We kept being asked if everything was good and they checked and inspected the quality of the food before sending it out to our table although we had to ask for a knife and fork (but hey, some people want to eat their pizza the traditional way!). All in all, even though there are cheaper pizza options in the area, we decided to visit again on my...
Read moreI used to order from Nether Edge Pizza Co semi-regularly and enjoyed their pizzas. I've only eaten in the restaurant a couple of times. On both occasions, the food has been pretty poor. On my first visit, the vegan cheese was almost like grated cheddar in style (rather than a properly melted Mozzarella-esque affair) and was barely melted. On a more recent visit, our pizza arrived at our table luke-warm (and that's being generous). We had to request cutlery (!?), which was pretty dirty, as were the glasses which came with our drinks. The vegan mayo turned up in a massive bottle and came out looking a bit like whipped cream, rather than a smooth...well, mayo like texture you get with every vegan mayo I've ever eaten. The best before date was July this year, so who knows how long it's been sitting around open...
Anyway, I'm not a fan of writing negative reviews, so I'll end by saying the service was quick and friendly. However, for pizzas at £15 a pop, they're light years behind the vegan options at Proove and...
