Wow, what a gem! Tucked away at the bottom of the high street this little gem can easily be by-passed, but what a mistake that would be. Early morning the aroma from freshly baked bread is intoxicating It offers food and service levels long since disappeared from so many establishments. Maria, the proprietor, and her young friendly helpful team greet you with charm and a smile. Nothing is too much trouble. Commendably it is open for take away business from 6am so is a particular favourite among the dog walking community and early exercisers. Portions are considerable and offer extremely good value for money. Certainly something most of us have to consider during these rather difficult times. Particular recommendations would be the coffee, always good, and bacon baguettes. Bread and cakes are baked on premises during the early hours. The spelt bread is excellent, as indeed are the fruit scones and, my particular favourite, lemon drizzle cake. After 8am the attached tea room is open with waitress service. I can't say enough good things about this wonderful bakery and tea room! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The fact that they are dog-friendly was a huge bonus—our furry companion was treated like royalty with a comfy spot and even a little treat just for them.

The bakery selection was out of this world! Everything from freshly baked pastries to cakes. I highly recommend their freshly baked breakfast rolls. The tea menu was equally impressive, with a range of options that cater to every palate.

The staff are incredibly attentive and made sure both humans and dogs were happy throughout our visit. The cozy, well-decorated space is perfect for relaxing with friends or just enjoying a peaceful moment with your pup.

Today I enjoyed my afternoon tea with my sons during lunch time. An unfortunate incident happened across the road at the supermarket which drew huge crowds from the public and staff from the supermarket. I was surprised when I noticed your older staff member (an older women, blonde hair with hair tied back in low hanging ponytail) started arguing with patrons from the restaurant. She left the restaurant and not serving the customers (myself and my sons) and started screaming " Citizens Arrest" to an elderly couple who had just finished their cakes and sandwiches at the bakery. The behaviour was disgusting and appalling. This message is to the owner who was not present today and to understand the vulgar behaviour from this particular staff member.
