Unfortunately this hotel was probably the worst Holiday inn experience I’ve had. The hotel did not feel exceptionally clean or updated. There were paint chips missing throughout and the walls and carpets seemed dingy. The elevators had a strong chemical smell both days of our stay. As for our room, there were things in pretty poor condition. The first thing that greeted us was a used plunger outside the door, not a great sign. The room was clean-ish. But there was a deodorant top under the sink when we got there, none of our trash cans had bags in them, the open wardrobe was missing a handle and the lamp was cracked. Most annoying was the TV could load maybe a quarter of the channels that were supposed to be available. We did bring some of our concerns to the front desk staff who could barely look up at us from their computer to pretend to care. The only highlight was that the breakfast area had a lot of variety and was kept clean. You’re likely better off at the Marriott next door.

This hotel is a nice choice, especially if you're needing access to I-25 or 1-40. There are plenty of places to eat and a lot to do. I was concerned with car theft or break-ins since Albuquerque is high on both counts. There is security 24 hours a day because of the Pueblo government land it is located near, so this isn't an issue. The room was very nice as we had a two queen suite and there was a separate room with a pull-out couch. The only issue is we were on the street-facing side of the hotel and some cars and trucks were loud. The pool was too cold to use and the hot tub water was pretty gross, but I'm sure a ton of people have used it with the busy travel time. The room wasn't perfectly clean, but I try to give grace since there's a shortage of cleaning staff across the country. Breakfast was good but the pancake maker was broken. The biscuits and gravy were actually pretty good which is rare for a Holiday Inn Express. I would use this hotel again for sure.

Location, customer service the size of the rooms etc were all great! Its right off the highway and is located next to a plaza that has Starbucks, Dominoes walking distance. The front desk is very warm and courteous. We were welcomed very respectfully and quickly. Our room was beautiful and big and had the views of the mountains. The beds were comfy however the shower had low pressure. Also due to the Covid 19 the house keeping doesn't come every day however if you need something you can call and get from the front desk. Mask is a must in public areas. The only draw back was breakfast. Other hotels we stayed at that provided free breakfast had grab and go packed breakfast but this hotel had nothing and simply told us that they ran out of the food and the supplies didn't make it yet. Weird but we understood.

I am never the one to sit down and write a review but this one has to be written. I had a reservation for two nights at this hotel at the very end of September (Fri-Sun). I am a photographer and was in Albuquerque for business that weekend. On Saturday morning when I left the hotel, a hotel staff decided to check me out of the hotel because she saw me walk out the hotel doors. How do you just assume someone is checking out because they are walking out? Why was my reservation not checked that clearly stated I was there until Sunday? To top it off, I get off work and returned to the hotel at 10:15PM on Saturday night to discover ALL OF MY STUFF from the hotel room was removed. I went down to the front desk to a woman who was absolutely clueless about what was going on. I told her all my stuff was removed (including a laptop, I-pad, all my clothes, toiletries, makeup, food, etc). She was dumbfounded and didnt have any answers for me at 10:15PM at night. She informed me I was checked-out and she didn't know where any of my stuff was. She proceeded to look and found my laptop but didnt bring it out to me. (shaking my head). Then I was put on the phone with the assistance manager at this point and said she'd be there in the morning to help resolve this. I had to go back up to my hotel room after working all day and sleep in the same clothes, have no toiletries and no food to it. Woke up on Sunday to get ready for my flight out but still had to deal with this ridiculousness in the morning. Talked with the assistance manager who ended up finding my toiletries but still no clothes. What boggles my mind is the fact that A) All of my stuff was not put in ONE PLACE. Instead it was put in multiple places to make it difficult to locate. B). No one bothered to call me regarding how much stuff they found in my hotel room, even valuable stuff. The assistance manager even said she was the one to take in my laptop. Did she bother to call me to tell me I left my laptop??? NOPE. She informed me she would refund my money and let me know about my clothes. A week went by and no call. Longer story short its been a month and they still haven't found my clothes, will only reimburse me for my clothes if I show them RECEIPTS. Who keeps receipts from clothes???? It's not like I bought them the week before. They still haven't refunded my money either. I called corporate and they can't do anything about it or help resolve the issue because I have to work directly with the hotel I stayed at. How is this all okay?? What a terrible company. DO...

I recently spent a few nights at the Holiday Inn, and while my experience was satisfactory, there's room for improvement. As someone who appreciates a good value, I found the hotel to be an economical choice for my stay.

Firstly, let's talk about the positives. The staff was friendly and accommodating throughout my stay, which made for a pleasant atmosphere. The room itself was clean and comfortable, providing a decent night's sleep after a long day of exploring the area. The amenities, while basic, met my needs adequately.

However, there are a couple of areas where I feel the hotel could enhance the guest experience. Firstly, the coffee served in the morning fell short of expectations. While I understand the limitations of providing complimentary coffee, perhaps investing in a higher quality blend or offering a wider selection of options could elevate the breakfast experience for guests who rely on that morning jolt.

Speaking of breakfast, while the options provided were sufficient, there's definitely room for improvement in terms of variety and freshness. Incorporating more locally sourced ingredients or adding some healthier choices to the menu could appeal to a broader range of guests and enhance the overall dining experience.

Additionally, it would be beneficial to review the Wi-Fi connectivity in the rooms. In today's digital age, reliable internet access is essential for both business and leisure travelers. Ensuring a strong and stable connection would undoubtedly be appreciated by guests who rely on staying connected during their stay.

In conclusion, while my stay at the Holiday Inn was average, it provided good value for the price. With a few tweaks and enhancements, particularly in the areas of coffee quality and breakfast options, the hotel has the potential to elevate the guest experience and become an even more attractive choice for budget-conscious travelers like myself. I would consider returning in the future if these improvements were...

I really wanted to like it here, but I just didn't. The location is great -- just a few minutes to Old Town and downtown. But contrary to what you hear, location is not everything.

We arrived for a 5 day stay. Our first room had a non functioning AC unit, so they moved us to a new room.

We slowly started discovering the issues in this room: a super slow draining sink, toilet paper holder looked like it went a few rounds with Rocky. The dresser had a handle that would come off if you barely pulled on it. So much for easy storage of clothing. Our windows were frosted over, either because the seals were busted or because of bird droppings, or maybe both. I could have handled all of that.

I could even handle that we were locked out of our room twice during our stay.

I could even handle that one of those lockouts is because we had been "checked out" after the first day of our five day stay.

I could even handle that there was a strange gritty substance covering the bottom of the hot tub.

I could even handle that we had to go ask the front desk for pool towels almost every single day.

But what finally got to me was the stench.

The stench wasn't there for our first day or two, but then it hit. A stench like raw sewage hung in the first floor, but spread throughout the building. The staff sprayed, but it didn't help cover the stench. They opened doors to air out the floor, but the smell remained. Every day for the rest of our stay, we would be greeted, not by the feeling of coming home or even to a cozy hotel, but we were instead greeted by the stench of the city's intestinal experiences.

It hasn't helped that our next stay was at a Holiday Inn Express in a different city and it is such a contrast in cleanliness, appearance, maintenance and upkeep, and no stench.

Location is really good, though, and the free breakfasts were decent. One...
