Normally I stay away from Starbucks because of my budget as a teacher. But I wanted to check it out because it's the largest Starbucks in the country AND owned by the Indian Pueblo Culture Center. I liked it. Decor classy as expected since it belongs to the All Ndn Pueblo Culture Center. Sat & drank my mocha by the warm fireplace (there's a SW adobe style fireplace in the corner). Wondering how often the outdoor fireplace is lit. Looks like it would be nice to hang out outside when that happens. That's probably why there's no drive through; to minimize noise in that outdoor space. A small PA and a mic would probably help with setting a good poetry slam space outdoors. That would be kinda neat to experience. Service is ok. I'd really love to collect the beautiful SW native style coffee mugs they sell. Those would be good Christmas / birthday presents for peeps. The baristas are young. I could see how the previous reviewer might not have had a good experience, if the young baristas are just learning how to do their job. If I'd had that experience, I would've just complained to the manager on site and gotten a free drink for my troubles, as well as made enough of a fuss to make sure the barista who did that to me learned their lesson...
Read moreBrand new Starbucks right down the street from my house. I was so excited! I went in this morning to order an extra hot grande caramel macciato with whip cream and extra caramel drizzle. During my chance to tell the cashier what I would like she continued carrying on a conversation with her fellow barista. I paid for my drink, sat down for 20 minutes then my name was called. I went to grab my drink and it was an extra hot chai with whip cream and caramel syrup.
I took the drink and walked out, and I know now I'll never come back. My money and my time are just as valuable as anyone else's, the fact that it's a brand new location and they already ignore the customers.. awful sign.
I'll be going back to the Rio Grande location where I've never had an issue, it takes a longer drive for me but it's better then a hot drink sitting on my desk I paid for but will...
Read moreThis rating is in reference to all the roads that lead up to your location. You guys should do something about the way people are allowed to drive around that parking lot. It's meant for cars to go in one specific direction. Every time I enter that lot, I'm forced to go the opposite direction I'm needing to go. So if I want to exit the parking lot through the street just south of Starbucks, and I need to turn left, I can't. So I turn right and do a U-turn. If I try to exit the parking lot through the north end and want to take a left, I can't and am forced to take a right and then have to drive all the way around the round about in order to get into the direction I'm trying to go, which is West. That median should have a cut out so people can turn left or right, in and out of that...
