i tried, two times, to have a decent experience here. im staying with my children at the holiday inn right next to the restaurant and my daughter loves burgers so i figured this was perfect. she didnt love the burger, she said it smelled funny (im assuming its just the seasonings) but we were willing to forgo that bc they make floats (and who doesnt love a good float?!) the woman that took our order was very sweet, but the woman who made the floats looked like we were absolutely getting on her nerves. i also ordered a beer and reordered a chocolate milkshake so we could compare the vanilla and chocolate, and i feel as though that made her somehow angrier and it made for an uncomfortable dining in experience.
This time, i am literally sitting here writing this review. the cashier, a different young man, was short with me and also said the beer had to be ordered separately (which wasnt the case the first time i came), and then proceeded to ignore me at the bar for 8 minutes until finally he whispered to the same milkshake woman that i was sitting there with an attitude, and then she told another cashier, who then came from the other side of the restaurant to help me. if it was an age/server issue, i understand, but any kind of communication would have been so much better than being made to feel ignored and i could clearly see them talking about me. my daughter saw it as well and now we're having an uncomfortable lunch that cost me 30 bucks.
love the hot dogs, but will not be returning sadly.
edit to say the server that was nice to us the first time is the server that finally addressed me at the bar. thank you, one nice server lady, for your customer...
Read moreThe atmosphere felt like that of a funeral as the customers seemed very sad. We went on a Friday night and the restaurant was unwelcoming and chaotic. The staff took a while to acknowledge us and informed us that it would be about a 30 minute wait. I'm glad they told us ahead of time but I found it extremely surprising that it would take that long considering their menu isn't varied and there wasn't very many people. We ordered a Laguna burger and a Laguna wimp both with fries. The wait was awful and did end up taking about 35 minutes for two burgers. All the while the staff were on their phones and also eating while preparing food. At one point an employee wandered around asking each table if they had ordered a lettuce wrap which made me uneasy about how much attention they paid to their customers as, again, the restaurant was not very busy. The food finally arrived and was mediocre. This is the first time I've had Laguna burger and I had heard great things. The top bun was cold, almost as if out of a refrigerator. The meat was fine, the chile not hot at all, and the cheese solidified. The vegetables that were toppings for the burger were good and seemed fresh. The fries had a consistency like cardboard, overcooked to the point that the middle had dried out and were unpleasant to eat. The wimp burger was burnt to the point that it was crunchy. During our meal we were not checked on a single time and food remained on both the floors and on empty tables as none of the employees seemed to clean. While the experience was disappointing, I will likely be back with the hope that it was a...
Read moreOkay I eight or had eaten at Laguna burger burger on route 66 right by the casino out there just about every day that I worked out there and it's awesome now in the city of course you have taxes you have lot fees you have alcohol now being served at a Laguna burger you also have so much more fees that I don't even comprehend or know about which raise the price of Laguna burgers and soloing out by route 66 you'll pay about half of what you're paying here but in the city deservedly it needs to be a higher price and is the more there are some damn and good reasons these people work hard to make sure you're good on what you get.
yeah I'm gonna take the recommendation of the cashier and get the pulled pork next time or the pool barbecue with whatever meat that is I can't recallbut I'm posting up a menu for you alland it will show you the prices but expect excellent food experience and coming have a few beers while you're thereand if you're not a beer alcohol beverage kind a guy they have sodas at a refillable and they have water on tap. oh and on the note if it hits a homerun that is Laguna Burger standard they dothey make him just as well the prize could use a little bit more crunch or whatever you'd say these come really soft not sure the difference why they do versus the ones up on route 66.
keep it up though you guys hi5 and thanks for a good lunch and...
